Stout House A 3 Stout House F 2
Tony Clasby 680 Dave Simmons 4080 Jim Balchin 600 Scott Hope 6650 James Norman 3540 Grant Hope 3050 Brian Martin 1560 Stuart Hope 1100 John Tidy 5940 Colin Bolton 540
Game 1: Tony's ploy of hiding all the balls up the middle of the table backfired somewhat. Early break from Dave enough. Game 2: Jim's 'Off-the-spot' practice for the weekend didn't go according to plan, was more 'Off-the-Table'. Steady game from Scott. Game 3: Exciting close game. James fortunate to be on the table when the bar dropped. Game 4: Another close game, decided after the bar. I'm not going to say any more as Chelsea and Pops would both rather forget this one. Game 5: Solid game from JT showing that his billiards is better than his predictions. 3-2 loss... I wish!! Nothing going for Colin.
Tonights match was certainly a game of two halves. Unfortunately, we won the smaller of the two. A sigh of relief for the A's. Evening rounded off with plenty of sandwiches, almost as good as the ones we get....!

The usual weekly result from Springbok!!!!
Springbok 1 Three Bees 4
Lewis 570 Mike 1940 Both players started a little tentatively showing too much respect to the table, but eventually mike got into the flow and put points on the board. Lewis did very little wrong, the fact is the balls just did not go down for him as you would expect.
Mike 3360 Lin 1490 A close game this with Lin starting very brightly only to lose 1k early on. Mike was in very good form and took advantage of Lin's bad luck. Lin made a late fightback but time was not on her side.
Bill BP Steve 5390 Steve was in control from the off and made a confident break at the start. Bill was having one of those days when the pegs acted like magnets to the balls.
Gary 3500 Dave 4260 Dave really set the bar high at the stat putting over 2K on the board, but Gary hit back well until he lost the 1500 he had accumulated. Dave took full advantage putting another couple of grand on the board, but Gary was not out and had time been kinder may have taken the point.
Trevor 1170 John 3490 Early onslaught from John put 2k on the board and left me a mountain to climb, I simply could not get the balls back and only managed to chip away. Near the death John did get the break back and that was it.
Though another disappointing result for Springbok, we had a great night with the Three Bees.
