**Stuart Carruthers 10,900 - 2220 Rick Cunningham - Stu made a steady 6k, Rick a very good clearance to get them back but off soon after, Stuart finished off
Jack Baden 1540 - 17,610 Mike Daw** - excellent 9k opener from Mike who is on top form. Jack got them back, but off soon after, Mike ran the rest of the time out
Jean Brackenridge 6130 - 11,120 Joe Oakley** - Joe settled down quickly, got to 5k and off. Joe first to get them back and touched with enough. Rapid 6k from JB
**Alan Brackenridge 7480 - 1460 Tony Jenner - Big Al going well but thinned a split and pegged. TJ tried all he could to get the balls back but Alan did so first and made enough
Michelle Baden 3420 - 5990 Matthew Knight** - Oh my what a shocker this was, a comedy of errors. I was off early, Michelle two breaks, and built a small lead. I managed to get them back and made enough, not without a scare on the way
Good win for us including a woeful decider. Mike in great form. A good night in excellent company as always
Caxton v County Oak A Colin Green 1580 v Nigel Senior 8470 Dave Jones 6900 v Ian lelliott 3780 Dave opened with a break of 6810 Roy Marsh 1280 v Bob Osborne 2780 James Whittle 3870 v Marcus Chipman 1330 Dave Jones 570 v Phil Osborne 5290 Great food provided by the Caxton as always and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves Final result 3-2 Win to the County Oak
Pocket Rocket B 2 - 3 Bevy B I'm sure someone will put the scores up. Some interesting games. Dave Roberts played about the best of all of us. Alan had a horrible game against me in the decider. About 1k head he Black Pegged and things went down hill for him after that. It didn't help that quite unintentionally I managed to put balls on the baulk line. Three times in fact, but I did move them for him.
Life is like a sewer, what you get out of it depends upon what you put into it. (Tom Lehrer)
Near misses indeed. The match could have gone either way with the chances.
Moppy 6310 v 4930 Mick W - Moppy off on about 2k, Mick replied with over 4K but Moppy got the spoils near the end Gary 5440 v 6210 Tupps - Two breaks each in this one with some Tupper time coming in to play later on Steve 7070 v 2840 Dave - Steve played well to win this leg, Dave had a couple of chances DJ 2140 v 4460 Colin - For a good while in this game DJ held a narrow lead. Colin got them back late on to earn the leg Bob 4200 v 8940 - Bob was going well for about 2k but I got them back and made about 8k. Bob added more
