Tunbridge Wells 4-3 Brighton A
**Pete Sainsbury 7400 - 2380 Bob Hall Bryan Stevens 2160 - 5150 Phil Osborne** Vinny Mitchell 4890 - 2790 Jack Baden** **Paul Sainsbury 3360 - 10,900 Jim Millward Richard Corbould 0 - 10,900 Nigel Senior** Curt Driver 7580 - 2910 Chris Tupper** **Martin Russell 3660 - 2710 Matthew Knight
A tough night in Tunbridge Wells with Pete, Nigel and Curt the only ones to get a 6k break. Table very tricky, coming back much quicker that it went up and the rolls catching us out. This meant plenty of chances in most of the legs with the home team taking slightly more of them to get the win. Well done to them and thanks for the good food and the entertaining banter.

Worthing B | 16-Dec | | Redhill A |

Ben Goodwin * | 2460 | 6820 | Tony Cross | Gary Ridley | 420 | 10890 | Geoff Jukes * | Paul Barnett | 3230 | 11710 | Dave Jones * | Rick Cunningham * | 4580 | 7010 | Vern Sparkes | Alan Messer | 2110 | 12190 | Dave Constable * | Dave Jones | 1150 | 5440 | Denise Wills * | Pete Hickman * | 5400 | 5600 | John Slee | | 19350 | 59660 | |
The story of the night that the highest break anyone from the home team went off with was 500, games 2, 3 and 5 effectively killed off in one hit. Game one Ben had a couple of chances to take it but was not to be. Game 5 Alan may have been able to do it but would have been a big ask. Game six, chances for both but Denise always in front. Game 7 Pete pegged split at 4k plus and gave break back, John 5.5k break, Pete came back with 5.2k and came off as the bar went, one chance each at top end to win it, before John made sure on 2nd attempt, definitely the most competitive game of the night. Well done to Redhill on their win, table as scores show playing very well, and some very nice comments from the opposition about the table.

I know Worthing A beat West Sussex last weekend but have no details. Correct. Scoreline was 5.2, the match was much closer than the scoreline suggests with many of the west Sussex players knowing the Henty table very well.

Worthing A 5 West Sussex A 2
Chocie 14770 v 2120 Chris O. - Stu opened with enough and added more Molly 5660 v 7520 Chris C - Chris off early, Terry got them back but never comfortable on the split eventually breaking down. Chris came back with a winning break Fitz 5870 v 8910 Daniel - Nice opening break from Daniel, Fitz finished off Martin S 15810 v 110 Trevor T - Excellent opener from Martin of 10k. Added more on next visit Mike D 8590 v 50 Nipper - Martin going well on about 5k when he whipped a split. Mike made sure in one visit Joe 13300 v 260 Alan H - Joe really is maturing as an A player now. Another good opening break giving Alan no chance KT 14720 v 5780 Barry - A rapid 10k from yours truly and Barry would have caught it had he stayed on
A great result against a solid team who new the table well. Obviously Nipper's game was the turning point for us. Great company and a nice spread of food as usual

Mid Sussex 'A' 2 Mid Sussex 'B' 5
Lorraine* 2300 Ian 4340 Jock 7340 Paul J* 3010 Ted 3720 Trevor R* 4020 Pete 4390* Terry G 440 Barry BP Paul M-R 4610* Derek BP Graham 6980* (5710 opening break) Mick 2780* Ros 5180
Game of the night was Ted vs Trevor R - which ended with Ted needing 200 to draw and Trevor needing the 100 to win. After a few goes between them, Trevor found line and length to pot.
Terry was very unlucky to spill a break of nearly 6k, when the ball rolled off the D just before he struck the shot.
Sociable evening with the 'other' team. Very nice peppered chicken mini fillets, chips, wedges and onion rings to round things off.

Well done phil in topping the stats to date, nice to see plenty of youngsters in the top 10, not sure who will be left to play against them in a few years
