Pete Hickman* | 4250 | 4040 | Tony Burgess | Mal Spier | 5780 | 8740 | Paul Barnett * | Joe Oakley | 11040 | 2630 | Neil Higgins * | Tony Jenner * | 12070 | 610 | Gary Ridley | Steve Aylmore | 620 | 6500 | Ros Appleby * | 3 | 33760 | 22520 | 2 |
Pete opened with 1500, Tony very steady 3.7k break, Pete took lead with bar due and off, Tony cleared the balls to leave the red but was 410 down so win for a relieved Pete. Paul opened with 8740 not leaving Mal enough time but Mal played rest of the time with 2 breaks. Neil off at 2500, Joe touched on 8400 with enough. Added some more. I opened with 5290 and did leave Gary enough time, but was 1st to get them back and despite losing another 3k added some more to ensure us victory. Ros played a very steady game accumulating 3 breaks for her win and Steve could not get the balls back. As always a good night with the Nomads and another good game of 31s at the end.

An excellent result for the Dickens. We seem to raise our game against the Swan. Chris played out of his skin to win the first game. Which was nip and tuck and the lead changed hands throughout. And always in control. Barry couldn't get going. Game 3 This game couldn't gone either way. I had chances against Colin. Game 5. Ted's favourite table.
Swan A Charles Dickens
R Taylor * 6200 - 6250 C Lucas B Holt 1070 - 9780 A Farmer-Wright * D Mahy 4840 - 5100 S Hurley * C Green * 5340 - 3390 D Jones V Blake 3260 - 6100 T Stringer * 1 4
Total Score 20710 30620 Average per man 4142 6124

Apparently it is over the allotted 3 times now Roger so I will be speaking to them. It's unfortunate that players don't turn up when they are signed on. Martin is trying to keep the team going with little back up. Dave Catchpole isn't well enough to come out, Matt Mason for whatever reason doesn't turn up. Matt & Amy are registered but haven't appeared yet. Maybe this rule should be unending for the Lower Division teams , at least the opponents will get a game instead of a bye. Any other ideas would be welcome

Thank you for the sensible words Bob, the rule was passed at the AGM so will have to stand but I do feel we need to help a team keep going in the current climate so will be speaking to each team captain to see how they feel about letting the rule be relaxed for the Marine View at the moment to help them out but would welcome a change to the rule at the next AGM, it is apparent that the teams in the 2nd division can struggle.
The Marine View as of the present time have not won a game and are turning up to play premier sides ( sometimes with 4 ) but they do turn up home and away. It also means those who turn up with 5 that all players will get a game. I will start a separate thread to show progress on talking to all captains and getting theirs and their teams feeling on the Marine View.
