Both Gareth Lloyd and KT also had 20k breaks. Jean Brackenridge achieved the highest Ladies' break of 7780 during her group win over Michelle Baden.
I have a big list of thank yous. To the club for letting us host the event and for keeping us feed and watered. To TJ for keeping the day running and organising all the entries. Stu Mepham for setting-up the tables, which played excellently. To Boball, James Whittle and Alan Brackenridge for their help in taking down the tables and to Dave Alder for delivering them and picking them up. Matt and Jean for their help throughout the day and finally to everyone who played and for scoring.
All finals were played to a high standard, and most closely run affairs, some great bar billiards today and as the scores show all tables held a big score.
Having many hands at the end made the job of getting the tables out and away was great.
Always a privilege to watch a final of such high class, and also to be able to watch the other finals in a great venue, look forward to many more competitions here, from a personal point of view I enjoy trying to get the numbers of players to take part, but the old codger is starting to get past it, but no doubt will be back to do it all again next year. Put January 11th and 12th 2020in your diaries.
Very well run weekend, good tables, well set up and all different. High scores on all of them, including the club table, some frighteningly fast!! Massive thanks to both Stuart and Tony for all their hard work. Disappointing there were dropouts, some unavoidable no doubt. "The old codger" is still more than capable. Thanks to all who set-up and took down tables, plenty of help tonight. More entries next year would be great.
