Alexandra | | 28-Mar | Marquis of Granby |
---|
Rick Cunningham * | 2920 | 4160 | Ted Stringer | Joe Oakley | 12540 | 1500 | Chris Lucas * | Mal Spier | 6650 | 4590 | Andy Farmar Wright * | Pete Hickman * | 9360 | 3520 | Dave Jones | Tony Jenner * | 5800 | 2570 | Ted Stringer | 4 | 37270 | 16340 | 1 |
Good night with the Dickens at the Alex, chances in all games, Joe getting a 10190 break on his second go on the break. Having heard the Albion A had beaten the Swan A 4-1 we needed a 4-1 win to get above them on game difference, and despite a very nervy and sketchy performance by the home team captain he did get over the line. rick left his first one up short and then struggled to get the break back, Ted played a steady game securing with a 2k break near the end. Chris never settled, Joe off early first time but made sure second game. Andy and Mal plenty of chances Mal making the most of his. Pete opened with near on 7k and always in charge. Last game not one of high quality but TJ kept battling and Ted not able to take advantage of the many chances he had.

Ben Goodwin came back from the Henty and told us the Henty had won 4-1, and news from the Dickens was that the Albion ha also won 4-1, so congratulations to the Albion A on winning the premier division.
Alexandra move above the Swan A on games difference and even if they lost Tarring are Division Two winners, the Nomads had already won Division 1

I have all details except scores for Henty v Pocket Rocket. Once I have these I will update my spreadsheets for the league season ended and update the web site.
Still some Masters points to be won for the Chairmans and Plate final next week and from Competitions.
But well done to the Albion A on winning the Premier Division. Swan Nomads for winning Division 1 and Tarring Club for winning Division 2. Been great to see two divisions go all the way to the wire with the Premier being decided on the last game of the last match.
Martin Smith has won the Premier Performance. Steve Hurley the 1st Division Performance and Ben Goodwin the 2nd Division Performance.
At the moment Martin Smith tops the A Masters but this can change. Ben Goodwin leads the way in the B Masters and is probably set to stay there.

Henty 4 Pocket Rocket 1
Chocie 8340 v 2110 Alan M- Stu always in control (sort of) when he got them back Nipper 5280 v 8320 Ben - Ben was off fairly early and Martin got them back. Going comfortably on about 5k until catching a split thick. Ben made a steady 6k for the point Curt 12380 v 4050 Matt E - Matt off quickly, Curt made about 8k, Matt came back with 4K, Curt finished off Fitz 9680 v 520 Gemma - Plenty of chances for both Molly 8600 v 3360 Toni - A 2k opener for Toni. Molly kept adding a bit every time he went to the table
Hard luck to my team for just missing out this year. Looking back through the results, so many close legs where one of them would have resulted in the Henty retaining the title. Thanks to Vern and all the girls at the pub for spoiling us all season. Looking forward to next season already😉
