Results - 19th. March.
Dew Drop 3 - 3 Alexandra.
A low scoring game with the home team leading 3 - 1 heading into the doubles however the visitors winning the last 2 legs to earn a draw.
Henty B 6 - 0 Dolphin.
No luck for the away side facing a bang in form home team, Ian lelliott making a 10k score with a top score of 13.6k by TJ. Rick Cunningham continues his good form with a score of near 10k.
LBSC 1 - 5 Sea View
This fixture saw the bottom 2 meet at the badminton club, Dan Swain the only winner for the boys, Mark Brown, Stan and Colin Butler winning their singles legs in another low scoring match. The two teams flip flopping in the table, the badminton boys now in bottom rung.
Locomotive W 3 - 3 Prince of Wales
A result which opens up the title race, Trevor Foard won his singles game for the wheel tappers but a fine response by last season's runners up with victories for Daniel Wheal, Barry Holt and Martin Cole. However the visitors run was thwarted with the two doubles legs going to the home team to gain a well earned draw.
Swan A 0 - 6 Henty A
A result that did not do justice to the home team, the match played on a excellent top. An aggregate score of around 10k and more in most legs, both set of opponents only really having 1 visit, the visitors either just scoring enough with their break games or coming from behind to win by a short head in the others. The home team must be rueing the day they had to move from the Swan having now played 2 matches at the Boz losing both 6 - 0. Next up at home for Phil Oakley's team in a couple of weeks time is a clash with the Swanee Bees.
Rearranged game - Swan B 4 - 2 Alexandra
The home team needed a result in this match to keep them in touch at the top of the table and they managed to do so in a high scoring match. Scores of 10.6K - Joe Oakley, 11.6k - Nigel Senior and 11.1k - Matt Knight with a winning reply by Chris Cox 9k for the visitors in the singles gave the home team a 3 - 1 advantage entering the doubles, the visitors winning the first one with an aggregate score of 11.7k was then followed by a score of 12.3k by the home team. Both 2 matches played at this venue this week have yielded an overall aggregate score of over 151k.
