After a long, brave and positive battle against prostate cancer, Alan passed away last Friday. Funeral arrangements to follow.

news I knew Alan for many years in the Worthing League where he won the singles twice, playing well in the final to beat me quiet easily in one of them, was Chairman for many years also, always enjoyed his company. R.I.P.Alan.

news that we have lost Alan.Over many years played Al on numerous occasions when I was in Worthing interleague or comps.A great steady battler every time and an absolute gentleman, he will be sadly missed. Condolences to all the family RIP Al.

I too would echo the comments of others. Alan was a true gentleman at all times, such a great guy always smiling and always had time to chat. On the BB front he was a very tough opponent and you knew you'd played well if you came out on top against him. RIP Alan and condolences to all the family.

Funeral Service will be at 4.15pm on Wednesday July 24 at Chichester Crematorium PO19 7UH, followed by a gathering at the Robin Hood, Shripney PO22 9PA
