Lintott 3 Railway 2
Tony Clasby 1640 Colin Bolton 1410 Barry Lawson 470 Lee Tugwell 2500 Jim Balchin 6050 Dave Simmons 5450 John Tidy 3400 Stuart Hope 2140 Brian Marten 1570 Scott Hope 2310
Game 1: Colin going great guns midway, pegged a winning 1500 break, Tony just enough in front at the finish. Game 2: Lots of goes each on this one, Barry sabotaged by armies of ninja pegs. Lee managed to swerve most of them. Game 3: Cracking game. After Dave's 1k5 opener, Jim fired back with 5k leaving Dave chasing hard. Nearly caught him.... Game 4: JT just about had the edge over Pops on this one. Game 5: After the excitement of Game 3, we were expecting Scott of the Carfax and Chelsea to set the table alight. It was exciting alright but more of a war of attrition with Scott finally emerging on top. Phew!
Well, that was an interesting match, could have gone in any direction. Enjoyable none the less. Many thanks to the Lintott for laying on enough Chicken, Chips, Nachos and Taters to feed a regiment.
