Dear All
Could i please point out that neither chris saville or I are part of the AEBBA committee.
We gave our time, mainly due to Sav to sort rooms at Bournemouth, sorted payments and arranged rooms with Daniel.
The rest of the weekend is down to your event organisers ,The AEBBA committee.
If you have issues please contact them.
My thanks Chris

Hi Chris and can I say what an excellent job you and Chris have done under the circumstances and in making sure it is all sorted so the event can go ahead.
Unfortunately whatever is done with the unforeseen circumstances at the Queens and swops having to be done you will never be able to please everybody. I also think the Queens have done the very best they can do to sort things in our best interests.
Again thanks to the two Chris`s.
Looking at the AEEBA and their efforts to move the game forward and give everyone a good experience may I say whatever my personal views the format changes are worth a try and it is all about giving people more games and value.

Everyone involved puts a huge amount of work in on a voluntary basis. Whatever happens I plan to enjoy the weekend and will appreciate their efforts

Dear All Could i please point out that neither chris saville or I are part of the AEBBA committee. We gave our time, mainly due to Sav to sort rooms at Bournemouth, sorted payments and arranged rooms with Daniel. The rest of the weekend is down to your event organisers ,The AEBBA committee. If you have issues please contact them. My thanks Chris Hello everyone, Chrissie and Chris have kindly given many, many hours of their time to ensure that this event can be booked and roomed whilst seeking always to take into account the particular and wide ranging preferences that our community seem to have. They have done so willingly and we should all be extremely grateful as without them it is clear the event was perhaps at risk. As they have both made abundantly clear - their only role has been to try to help - it is unreasonable therefore to saddle them with additional duties or tasks - they owe us nothing. They have sought to answer all of your queries despite a backdrop of many changes and a challenging environment with the refurb that is happening at the hotel. Be assured, their task has been far from straightforward. Unless your query is specifically about your hotel payment or your allocated room - from this point please direct queries to me. There will be a number of changes this year - some of our choosing, others not. As has been the case with any change or alteration we have tried to make in the last year or two - some of you like them, some of you do not. Even so, the changes have been made with good intention and with the benefit of you, the players, at the centre. This year we have changed the event format - some of you will like it, some of you will not. But this should not prevent us from seeking to always improve what is offered to you. There are some changes over which we have little or no control - such as the hotel refurb. The fact that the hotel - which has supported us so well for over two decades - is seeking their own improvements should be welcomed. If our relationship is protected and fostered then we are likely to be beneficiaries of these improvements. I would like you all to bear that in mind when you are feeling inconvenienced. We are not the only customers of the hotel which during the last month or so - or in the next few months - will be impacted. I've never stayed in a hotel that isn't continually undertaking some kind of improvement works. But we can all make a choice as to whether it is going to negatively impact our enjoyment of the Bar Billiards weekend. I choose that it will not. What about you? Despite some of these changes which will affect us all - all of the events (the Bar Billiards, the free of charge evening entertainments, the meals etc.) will all still happen - it'll just be a little different that's all. Embrace it!! As soon as I am absolutely clear on any further changes which you'll notice - I will tell you and alert you in advance. In the meantime - if you have any questions - please message, call or email me. Thank you. Lorin

Thank you so, so much Lorin I totally appreciate everything here that you have said and Chris and I now hand over to you for this weekend.
And can I add that I now have an email from Daniel that says he is trying to get car parking charges at the Royale cancelled. If not the Queens will pay.
Our best wishes to you all for a great weekend
Sav and Chris
