I do not know which leagues are affected so will post here for all Sussex leagues, and confirm that Rod Tarratt is happy for me to make this post to reduce any possible misunderstandings.
Tarratts are offering 12 of their BB tables to the venues concerned, and if they are not wanted then Tarratts will recall those tables and sell elsewhere. Please note that these are ONLY tables in venues that DO NOT also have a Tarratt Pool table.
I do not know how many are league tables, or even which leagues, but am sure this will affect Mid Sussex and Horsham leagues.
The fate of the remaining BB tables out on hire, that DO also have a Pool Table, is unknown at this point.
Tarratts have written to the venues concerned but I have not disclosed the value being asked as that will be for the venues to accept or discuss with Tarratts direct, according to the condition or other factors of the individual circumstances.
Hopefully the venues will either buy themselves or make arrangements so that the players or leagues can raise some or all of the funds.
To me this is a sad but inevitable outcome of Coronavirus and all that has affected BB for quite some time before that.

Hi Graham I echo Bernie's remark on venues. It may well be landlords / Tenants may make a decision without the knowledge of teams or individuals that as you say maybe in a position to make Tarratt an offer.

So, let's have a look at how the various leagues may be affected: This was the Horsham League setup at the time tables had to be converted from the old (round) pound coin: Table | Owner
| Coin
| Roffey CC
| J.Miller
| old £1 as token
| Roffey SSC
| Tarratts
| £2
| Stout House
| Tarratts
| £2
| Limeburners
| Tarratts
| £2
| Plough
| M.Webber
| old £1, free for team
| Windmill C'y
| Margo
| new £1
|
Since then HDBBL has acquired SWSC and Windmill (Lit) but lost Stout House and Limeburners. AFAIAW both SWSC and Windmill (Lit) are Tarratt tables, and now £2.
Stout House now has a modern Supreme table but I reckon with a bit of persuasion new landlord Oscar could be tempted by a table offered by Rod.

Same exercise for Mid Sussex: Table | Owner
| Coin
| CKRBL
| AFW
| new £1
| Cock
| Tarratts
| £2
| Hassocks
| C.Lambe
| new £1
| HHSC
| Tarratts
| old £1, free for team
| St Francis
| Tarratts
| £2
| Windmill C'y
| Margo
| new £1
| BHCC
| Ros
| £2
| Plough Plumpton
| Tarratts
| £2
| Watermill
| Tarratts
| £2
|
Since then, the League have lost St Francis but gained Laughing Fish, a £2 Tarratt. So five venues affected.

There is only one Tarratt table in The Brighton league which is the Montreal. The are 2 in the Littlehampton league the Dew Drop and the Loci in Wick. I have been told there is one somewhere in Worthing but not a league venue.

[/tbody]
[/div]
Hi Clive, thanks for the information, however in Mid Sussex, assuming that the Watermill, The Cock & HHSC (definite) still have Tarratt Pool tables then they are not affected at this point but those three could not be blamed for thinking about the future. Therefore it is only the Plough PG and the Laughing Fish that are affected currently. In Horsham similarly I think the Southwater CC and Windmill Littleworth are currently affected, but i am not certain about Pool tables ownership etc, so may be wrong.

If it helps where pubs decide that they do not want to buy the table off Tarratt we have a spare table and the possibility of another one once I have finished revamping it.

Hi John, I have been trying to contact people I know affected in MS & HDBBL, for just that reason and would hate for that situation to happen.

By the lack of mention of John's venue (Roffey SSC) I would assume that they're not at risk of removal.
But if they were, I would imagine the teams would club together to purchase the table, as the H's at least owned a table before.

The Roffey SSC has a Pool Table and it is believed to be a Tarratt, so hopefully it is not currently at risk, although I expect there are minds thinking it over already.

Two venues which are common to the Billingshurst League.........we could do with an undercover agent from that area. LOL

Some good news in Mid Sussex as I hear that the Plough Plumpton will keep their table 👍😎

It seems unlikely that the Windmill Littleworth will be keeping it's table, but this is not a confirmed result, and would affect Horsham and Billingshurst leagues if it happens.
