The first one is a narrow table and only suitable for the 4 pin version of our game, it is also a MDF top which is not looked on as a suitable surface, the 2nd one is a Supreme, some of these also had MDF tops, you'd need to ask the question, personally I'd say they are both overpriced, be patient and the right table will turn up.

Ditto, but the second one is through a forum member so you could find out a bit more.

Many thanks

Sav I do believe the first one is an alanturner creation. I think Alan loves his egg timers nearly as much as we love our beer . I think Alan has just started making a couple of standard size tables, I have seen pictures of the slates he has cut to size and drilled out so it could be worth sending him a PM

Hi , Alanturner here As Dave says i have just commenced a new build slate bed wide BB Table , the body will be from solid Mahogany and Oak ( NOT CHIPBOAR) The timer/mechanism will be electronic , the front face of the timer will look similar to a traditional pull handle timer ( free play not coins required ) It will be battery powered ( battery will play in excess of 2000 games before it will need a re charge , a charger is supplied )It can be set to an accurate time easily ) The table will have new cushions/rubbers , cloth and mushrooms/skittles . Probably be 4/5 weeks....depending on the whether..............whether i bother going down to my chilly workshop !!! When completed i will be doing another one , similar speck .
I also have a Narrow BB Table with a slate top , traditional timer full kit etc etc , its a refurb , i use it my self but if anyone is looking for one , then it may be for sale at the right price
Note :- The BB Table i had for sale on Ebay ( NOW SOLD ) had an MDF top , the top was actually from a snooker/pool table (cut and redrilled) it has a thin plastic coating on the playing surface below the cloth it also has reinforcing struts to the under side and is probably as flat and level as many slate tables , in fact if you were not told it was not slate then a lot of people would never even guess !! It had a simple manual drop bar and an independant timer (Salter Beer Timer .....when it rings you drop the bar and get another pint !! The price was a give away compared to the sky high prices now appearing on Ebay...............£2000 for a Jelks with NO timer or drop bar ! 3 other BB Tables ranging from £!900 to £3000.......really !!

My feeling is there could be a lot of pub bar billiard tables on the market as covid quietens down but social distancing is still needed.

The one I have just started will be in your price range 900 , but would need collecting from me at CW2 5BX . If you message me your email address I will send you photos as i build it .........so you can then see for your self the build . When its complete you can decide if you want it or not , this is not a problem for me as i know it will sell easily at the price i have said . Cheers Alan

I did email the seller of the £3,000 table to ask if the price was a typo, they havent replied. I still need to get the workshop rebuild finished and then a prototype carbon fibre top will be on the cards
