The Duck table beautiful tonight. Graham's score would have been 5k+ too had he not lost a 3.5k break. Steve also unlucky in the last, pegging a good reply to my 2k opener. Ding was without question the Duck's star performer, Michael had to dig deep to deny her. Thoughts with our man Steve who has not looked well for some time and was in hospital today 'for some tests'. Match played in a good atmosphere, the 'other Duck team' turning up to see fair play. With 2 Mikes and 2 Micks in the room, Clacky claimed it was a 'Paddy's convention'. And the pizzas went down very nicely thank you with an accoutrement of Billy's Onions ..... League nicely poised for the final week's play, the champions holding a 3-point advantage. But possibly looking for favours should a Devon Loch situation arise!

Rssc 2.5 Railway 2.5
Twig 3650 Dave 4670 Lee 8580 Lee 930 Pete 3400 Grant 3650 John 6840 Scott 2910
Not for the first time this year 4 v 4 players two consecutive league nights.
First up a Dave derby. Dave off with the break and a very steady 2.5k .Twig unable to get them back Dave kept adding bits and Pieces to take a good lead. Twig next to get the balls back and began to get his head down buy suddenly a missed break shot And off still a few behind. Next clearance vital and Dave played to the bar for a deserved win
Game 2 and a Lee derby. Moose on first and off with 3k. Lee having no luck at all some flamboyant stuff from Moose kept Adding more . The game then got bogged down with plenty of goes each with a few pegs. Eventually Moose cleared up and Made a quickfire 3k to run out a good winner. 1-1
Third up and Fishy v Grant. A tight leg with the lead changing many times. Nobody taking control and small breaks the order of the Day. Bar down the balls were played out to one ball. Grant 150 in front and Pete needing the 200. Grant just missed, pete left It hanging Grant adjusted 100 down 1-2
Last up me and Scott and my break. Going along in no trouble straight forward shot to retrieve the break only to see my ball Drift and clip the white peg and 5k lost. Scott got them back and going along well on nearly 3k left a tricky ball and was off. A Couple of steady shots break back.and played it out with nearly 7k for score draw .
A lovely evening with the Railway boys and honours even with shared last leg. Our new table settling down and playing lovely.
