Due to a problem with being able to use the downstairs bar at the Tarring Club it is intended to use the Gardeners, Sompting for finals and presentation night. Apologies for the change but out of our control as we have decided that in the future it is not within the health and safety for all to lug tables upstairs at the Tarring Club. The Club were very apologetic and have offered to sponsor one of the tables on Finals Night. Please can those that see this pass on the news to their team mates, thank you.

Reminder Finals Night and Presentation at the Gardeners, Sompting. Night will start at 6.30 with lower division singles final and then 2 series of three games at 7.30 and 8.30 sure Kevin will publish full schedule when it is available. Be good to see plenty there as a combined evening and also would be good to have some there to support and maybe even score the first final.

An excellent evening at the Gardeners with a good turnout and all 3 tables playing well. Thank you to Stuart for setting up the tables, all that helped get the tables in and back out of the venue, to Pete and Terry for use of the Gardeners table and to Steve and Kat for hosting the evening. Strangely with the tables being good we had predicted some finals could go to 4 legs but this was not to be as all but one final were won in 2 legs, the only exception being the lower division doubles.
A big thank you to all that turned up to support the evening as this makes for a great atmosphere.
It was good to see our President Pete McCullum turn out and present the prizes.
Would be good to get feedback on how people felt combining Finals and Presentation went.

Many thanks to all involved in organising and running the evening, also thanks to the Gardeners Arms for hosting the event. Congratulations to the winners who all played well on the night, many thanks to Stuart Mepham for giving us some very good tables to play on during the evening and to those that gave their time (and effort) in setting them up and then taking them down at the end of the matches. Personally, I thought that combining Finals Night with Presentation Night worked well, it was certainly nice to see plenty of people there to support the event and watch the games.

The combination of finals and presentation was excellent with plenty to keep spectators interested, great service from Kat and Steve with nibbles as well. Much nicer than hearing pool ball’s crashing about on three tables all night.

Excellent night, well run and organised, helped by a great atmosphere with the loudest teams well represented, and successful 3 very good tables each a different test, thanks to Stuart, Pete and Molly for their hard work in getting them set-up so well I was sceptical about having both on the same night but it worked well this year, fair to say it was helped by many of the finals over in 2 legs. Think it would be a very late finish if more of the finals had gone the distance and might be awkward if others have to fill the 6.30pm slot in future, but a great venue with welcoming hosts and pretty much the place to ourselves Well done to all the winners especially to Joe, not only on making sure Kevin was on the runners-up trophy in the Mens for the first time, but also for doing a very good job in his first season running the comps, at times in difficult circumstances. Thanks to those committee members who worked hard throughout the year
