THE NOMADS’ STORY CONTINUES ….. John Slee (SPCCA), Clive Thompson (Old Oak) and Jim Balchin,, Joe Elleson, Michael Wilson, and Richard Cox (all Nomads) took part in the 2nd World 4-Pin Championships held at Sudbury, Suffolk on 24/25 March 2023
John Slee was best of the contingent of 6 Redhill players, making the last 16 thanks particularly to three consecutive extravagant hundred-hole pots (hand held up in apology to Michael Wilson each time). John was also winner of the second World 4-Pin Blind Pairs, partnering Dave Lillie, which was played on the Friday.
But I am overlooking the achievement of Jamaica's Number One Richard Cox in winning the World 4-Pin Plate: having lost all three of his group games he then stepped up a gear and breezed into the Final with impressive scores. - Clive Thompson, 28 March 2023
