Terry had suffered ill health for a while, and Sue had prepared us for the worst, but it's still a shock when it happens ..........
A down-to-earth guy, helpful mentor and always up for a chat about non-league football (the team he followed being Lewes FC). In his playing days, between the sticks, he was known as "Freddie the Fly".
A very important figure in Redhill circles, a player of long standing and former Chairman of the League, current Competitions Secretary and Surrey's sole World Champion (he won Jersey in 1996). It was a treat to have been there, able to witness his triumph.
Farewell Tel, RIP old friend. Thoughts with Sue and the family as this sad time.
Clive and Margo xx

Extremely sad news indeed, great player, very tough opponent to beat but always a gentleman on and off the table who was happy to chat at any time and always seemed to have a smile on his face.
RIP Terry, you will be missed by many but not forgotten.
My thoughts are with Sue, the family and all of his friends in Redhill League.

Terribly sad news we knew how poorly Terry was but at peace now. What a quiet, gentle lovely man and a superb bar billiards Player. I played interleague and county with Tel when Surrey became my adopted county. Count myself lucky to have been right Behind him in Jersey when he won the world championship. Had some lovely times having a beer and discussing our thoughts on cricket. Affectionately Fred was a more than useful football And Cricketer and who can forget his culinary skills. Donning the apron for countless years at Fenches club. All my condolences to Sue and family. Rip Friend.

Sad news. Have had the pleasure of knowing Terry for almost 50 years. I am mindful of a story he told me a little while ago when he played for the Locomotive in Redhill in the 1970s... one of the pub regulars ‘parked’ his ferret inside the bb table (on a Tuesday) and left it there while he got sloshed... the ferret was still there when the league match started that evening. Loco at home to the league champions Whyteleafe, apparently the ferret put his head up through one of the holes when the match commenced! R.I.P. Terry.
