A great day at the Redhill day, good to see so many new and young faces taking part and enjoying themselves. Well run day with money raised for the Stroke Charity, plenty of laughs and some lovely home made cakes being sold for the charity (especially liked the lemon drizzle and the chocolate sponge). Thank you for the invite and look forward to a good day at the Open tomorrow.

A momentous weekend of Redhill-League staged competition kicked of with their One-Day Interleague on the Saturday..... Not sure if we'll be getting the full transcript of the competition, but in case we don't I can give the starting line-ups and order of finish:
1st: 'B' LEAGUE: Jim Balchin, David Jones, Martin Greenway, Michael Wilson, Steve Baldwin, Clive Thompson, John Wallace 2nd (tied on points but decided by head to head result): CHAIRMAN'S SELECT: Tony Cross, Matthew Knight, Tony Jenner, Martin Pellett, James Whittle, Gary Powell, Nigel Senior 3= 'A' LEAGUE: Baz Symonds, Karl Tidy, Mark Fraser, Nev Blackman, Laurie Roberts, Alex Hornby, John Slee 3= REDHILL LADIES: Denise Wills, Tracy Guy, Karen Bacchus, Sue Oakley, Terri King, Caroline Jones, Anita Blackman 3= PRESIDENT'S SELECT: Sheila King, Rebecca Greenway, Linda Tidy, Yvonne Taylor, Louise Taylor , Abbey Balchin, Melissa Jones 6th: REDHILL Y (unsure Y thus named): Mark Farragher, Mark Nash, George Edwards, Dave Welton, David Ingram, Nigel Wilson, Liam Jones Many thanks to the hardworking Redhill committee, notably the lady members who were proactive with marshalling sales of cakes, fines, and other fundraising such as raffles and sweepstake: a total of £350 was raised for the Stroke Association. Chairman Tony arranged a minute's silence in remembrance of Terry Oakley. Fritz, Anita and Alex formed an excellent Admin team, with Alex taking the mic to organise games and scorers. And the tables were set up well, kudos for whoever was responsible for delivering and installing.
As TJ commented, great to see a spate of youngsters taking part and adding to the occasion. And looks like he missed out on the glorious home-made Victoria Sponge as no mention given .... Well done everyone, and for the lesson given by Michael's dad in beating me !!!
