Will leave the honour of updating the results to JT, but just to say what an enjoyable event this turned out to be.
The Billingshurst League laid on a traditional Finals Night at the refurbished Alfold Social Club, with two Team Finals and Open Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Mens Singles also to spectate/participate in.
First of all, much credit and our thanks go to Jim Balchin and John Slee for the collecting, installing and setting up of the two tables hired from AEBBA (which incidentally offered different challenges to the contestants involved !)
The Club did us proud with the catering, a great selection of grub, more than enough to go round (doggy bags offered at the end of the evening). A raffle was organised to help towards the costs. The evening overran slightly but we were still back home by midnight.
If the previous evening belonged to Jim G, tonight's belonged to Ricky Dewdney ("go on my son !") who played six frames of bar billiards on the night winning them all, with a 16k (including 10k break and touch) and 9800 in the Mens Singles Final.
Presentations were made by John Tidy, Malcolm Greening and Mick Johnson. Great that Danielle King came along to accept the Best Performance award on behalf of her late father Steve.
A big WELL DONE to the Committee, the Club and anyone else involved in the organisation. (Will now cobble together a page for the website incorporating any photos taken - bear with !) tommo

A cracking evening with lots of good games on show. Table 8 was playing pretty horribly with a constant dive to the left that would put CR7 to shame, bit table 2 played beautifully and it was a pleasure to score Ricky's masterclass in the singles final.

Hi all What a great night at Billingshurst league finals and presentation. Back at Alfold club once again after a few enforced years it was in Everybody's eyes a resounding success. A terrific venue especially now it's been refurbished. Supported on the night by all league teams And as posted some great billiards. Many thanks to all the ladies at the club for keeping us fed and watered so wonderfully . A superb spread of food. Many thanks also to Jean and Suart for the use of two all England tops. Thanks finally to Brian, Dave, Jim, Jt, Colin for the hard work of Shifting tables and Malcolm and Dave from Asc for use of the club. Finally I would like to congratulate all the winners on the night especially Ricky Dewdney who won his leg in the Cricketers team success, partnering His dad to win the pairs and absolutely "Kick my bottom " in the mens singles. My one poor shot was enough for him he played faultless bar Billiards .
