Stag C 4 Blue anchor 1 Grant 10020 Rick 0 Jim 8990 Joe 7220 Kev 15500 Matt 3950 Stu 20150 TJ 440 Boball 0 Chris 25160
Game 1 this was a match up that’s happened over many years and gt on his home table is hard to beat and tonight was no exception with a smooth and steady 9k and touch was enough to kill the first game Rick was on the table for a nice flowing 5k response before somehow whipping the 50 and taking out the black peg right at the end of the game
Game 2 as usual the Aebba pairs champions face off against each other and it is joe with the break, a steady start but his second 1 up sails behind and Jim balls straight back smooth sailing for the stag team now well Jim’s break was far from smooth he managed at least 6 fat splits but 6 beautiful recovery shots and touching up on just shy of 9k leaving joe 4 minutes to smash in a quick 6k oh what could of been
Game 3 Matt needing to get a win on the board to keep them in it but somehow comes off on 3k leaving the 1 up short and chunky was in no mood to miss tonight 10k and touch sealed the game 1 great shot with a ball behind the 30 and lots of side to get his new tip imbedded properly showed he is on form and that’s the match for the stag 3-0 up(what else could happen now )
Game 4 chocie had 6/7 chances at 20k and fell short on all occasions last season tonight he started steady a number of 50/10 50/100 50/20 splits but he stayed on and was on 10k in 10 minutes it’s time for him to do it tonight encouragements and time management was all he needed and the 1000s ticked off and with 1minute left all he needed was 3 break shots and 1 up and he made sure they all went in and stu’s first 20k is under his belt and gets a round of applause from both teams
Game 5 what could top stu getting 20 well that would be would coxy go for 25k some thought no just get a leg on the board for his team but Boball was ready to cheer on and encourage him all the way at 10 minutes coxy was on just under 13k so he was on course with Boball informing him of the time he knew what he had to do and he stayed on playing composed the whole way and at 16 minutes just over 20k up so 5k in 3.5 mins was it on yes it was and he even had time to admire some of his 100 splits. But he fully deserved this achievement and a fantastic job tonight well played coxy
The food was well received and it was all demolished lots of banter between the two teams and the table was superb tonight but massive congratulations go to coxy and chocie tonight on reaching 25k and 20k respectively

Certainly was some high quality bar billiards played at the Stag on Wednesday, just a shame that most of it was played by the home team! Well done to them on their win. Adding my congratulations to Stuart on finally getting his first 20k and to Chris on a quite brilliant 25k. He certainly is in great form, who on earth thought it a good idea to leave him to last when the match was over A word for Bob on his terrific support for both players during their breaks, great sportsmanship
