Mariner 3-2 Caxton
Gaz 2450-750 Dover Mop 5740-1100 Dayle Steve 1260-1670 Peter DJ 3630-430 Sean Bob 710-5730 Reg
Good enjoyable evening. No luck for Dover in the first. DJ played his first slit shot in 20 years (not in the 100 but who cares).
Most were watching the darts rather than billiards but a fun time had by all.

Blue Anchor 2-3 New Oak A
**Rick Cunningham 3410 - 6470 Bob Osborne - Rick started well but off on 2k leaving the one-up short. Bob got them straight back but was off before reaching Rick's score. Rick couldn't get them back but Bob could at will which was the difference and put the visitors 1 up
Joe Oakley 780 - 8750 Phil Osborne** - Phil off early, Joe played a great shot to get them back but downhill after that as he missed his first split, got them back and missed the red on the break and off. Phil a very good 6k for the win
Matthew Knight 10,290 - 3070 Ian Lelliott** - Ian off early, I got them straight back and made enough having to make more 10 than 100 splits
**Tony Jenner 4760 - 2700 Martin Smith - no sign of Chippers tonight so "super sub" Smithy in for the visitors. TJ with the break for us hoping to get it to a decider, both players normally very good on the Anchor top. Think it is fair to say that wasn't the case as TJ fell over the line with 4 breaks to 2 as both of them really struggled
onto the decider, and I really did think Chris would get a chance with Nige struggling for fitness.....wrong!!
Chris Cox 240 - 15,850 Nigel Senior** - Senior was simply awesome, table was very quick but he made the 100 look easy, just one missed 100 in the first 8k and then a missed 10 as the winning line approached, eventually touching to give Chris no chance. Nigel was first to get them back thus ensuring the visitors maintained their 100% record this season
Disappointing night for the champs with a couple of below par performances, onto the Moulsecoomb Club next week hoping for a better showing. Well done to The Oak and they march on, they didn't have to be at their best to win but might need to up their game if they are to take the title this season, certainly in pole position to do so
