Worthing B 2, Redhill B 5 (at the Alexandra) Pete Hickman bt Alex Roger Taylor lost to Clive James Whittle lost to Anita Rick Cunningham (16k) bt Nev Dave Ingram lost to Jim Tony Jenner lost to Fritz Dave Jones lost to TomJim's game was pivotal, looked like Dave had scored enough but Jim just snuck it. TJ then no luck in the battle of the captains. We would have been happy with that, but Tom was up to the job, answering Dave's 5k opener with 6k to the bar. Great table, great pub, great opponents with friendly chit chat, not all about b-bs. And the sarnies were nice too.

Brighton B 1-6 Brighton A **Alan Brackenridge 9990 - 3600 Bob Hall Steve Burns 1860 - 8020 Jim Millward** Jean Brackenridge 2500 - 14,320 Nigel Senior** **Ellis Candy 1200 - 12,980 Kevin Hall Kevin Stoner 2890 - 6160 Matthew Knight** Michelle Baden 1700 - 8880 Chris Tupper** **Marcus Chipman 2580 - 4550 Phil Osborne Comprehensive win for the visitors but a couple (at least) ropey performances with the table not to everyone's liking. Captain Nige and super Kev showing us how it is done, Nige with the break, missing the red on the first break shot but then getting it back and making enough. After Ellis was off early, Kev with a lovely break making enough first go too. Tupps making one of his famous "Tupper Time" breaks second go getting nearly 8k with every shot in the book, and some that weren't Thanks to the Bees for a great night

Rick`s opening break 8400 and when Neville missed Rick got them back and finished off. As Clive says a good evening with our friends from Redhill, game played in a sporting manner with plenty of friendly banter. First 6 games could have gone either way. Pete off early but Alex unable to get them back and Pete added 5k +, Alex when he got them back did not look like missing but short of time. Clive off at about 2k, Roger balls back but off at 900, Clive then made sure with good 5k+. Anita good 4k+ opener, James first to get them back and looking good but left one up short at 2.5k with plenty of time left. Anita then controlled the game for her win. As said above Rick in no mood to give Neville a chance. Jim two breaks to build around 2k before Dave got them back and looking good to pull us back into the match but as he will openly say made a pigs ear of a shot and off, Jim got them back and kept his nerve to finish the game off. Mark off at around 2k and with TJ getting no luck at the back of the table, Mark added 6k and 800 breaks. TJ eventually cleared the balls with about 3 minutes left and finished off with 4k break. Last Game as Clive says basically one break each, Dave getting a good opener but Tom always looked comfortable in the chase and made sure of a good away win. Table playing well and Redhill took their chances well putting them in pole position to win the league.

"a rouge split that was caught thin and the 100 whipped" Surely a rouge split should be one where it's the red ball that misses?

"a rouge split that was caught thin and the 100 whipped" Surely a rouge split should be one where it's the red ball that misses? I merely meant that it was unexpected. Young Geoff don't miss.. he'd gone rouge!!
