You know what they say, Lancashire born, Lancashire bred, Strong in the arm, Soft in the 'ead. I've no links at all with Lancs, but ever since being a small child, with ear glued to the radio (listening to The Clitheroe Kid) I've enjoyed the Lancashire sense of humour. A very high proportion of Britain's best comedians seem to hail from that county (and we'll include Manchester in with it), so here is a three-part picture quiz on them.
Part 2 of 3: 1pt for identification; 1pt for any joke or well-known catch phrase associated with them; and for good measure, 1pt if you can name the Lancs town which they hail from.13 Bernard Cribbins, b.Oldham 14 Jimmy Clitheroe, b.Clitheroe 15 Eric Morecambe, b.Morecambe 16 Roy Kinnear, b.Wigan 17 Jane Horrocks, b.Rossendale 18 Hylda Baker, b.Farnworth 19 Peter Kay, b.Bolton 20 Les Dawson, b.Manchester 21 Phil Cool, b.Chorley 22 Ted Ray, b.Wigan 23 Thora Hird, b.Morecambe 24 Johnny Vegas, b.St Helens Good luck !

Apologies from the Quizmeister who has found it necessary to put in a couple of "Subs" in place of 16) and 17) as it turns out that they are not Lancastrian. :-[ :-[ :-[ Anyone who has got Duncan Preston (b.Bradford) or Dr Graeme Garden (b.Scotland and brought up in Derby) will nonetheless get the points.

Well, between you all, you've managed to identify every one, but there's still points to be earned for towns of birth and catchphrases or funny quotes.
Regg3y - 13,15,17(1st persona),20,22 & 24 all get you a point, Vernon being wrong for 19. But extra point for Dr Graeme's catchphrase from The Goodies. (He was I'm sure the first-ever Graeme to spell his name that way. ;D) And a later point for Hylda Baker.
Wolfman - points each for 14 Jimmy Clitheroe and 21 Phil Cool (who tommo and margo went to see once at Crawley) 23 isn't actually Joyce (who was born in London, anyway). But the picture of this well-known star - a good cure for frozen cattle -was taken when she was much younger and looked a bit like Joyce, so 0.5pt bonus.
Nigel - 1point for correctly identifying Peter Kay, and two half-point bonuses for implying Vernon Kay isn't - and Peter Kay is - funny.
Lord Cheeky - 1pt each for indentifying the two 'latecomers'.
Leaderboard: 1. Regg3y 8pts 2. Wolfman 2.5pts 3=Nigel 2pts 3=Lord Cheeky 2pts

Graeme Garden took the spelling of his first name from the author Graeme Greene

Thank you, I made the observation as it's become more popular in this day and age than, say, in the sixties. I expect ten years from now there'll be as many Padraigs around as Patricks. ::)
No.23 still to be identified, plus extra points available for town of birth plus any gimmicks or catchphrases.

H&J - 2.5pts which includes 0.5 for solving my cryptic clue.
All of these have been got now, and this quiz has grown whiskers, so I'll add the birthplaces myself and close the quiz:
Final placings: 1. Regg3y 8pts 2= Wolfman 2.5pts 2= H&J 2.5pts 4=Nigel 2pts 4=Lord Cheeky 2pts
