Some tenuous links here, but I'll have a go, starting with the top. David Bowie/Hermans Hermits = Oh You Pretty Things (album track by Bowie on either Ziggy or Hunky Dory, can't remember which, also recorded by Peter Noone of Hermans Hermits).
ELO/Ozzy Osbourne = Roy Wood, or Birmingham: Roy Wood had an early association with the ELO, and both he and Ozzy are Brummies.
Thin Lizzy/Them = Van Morrison. Lizzy's Phil Lynott has cited Them's Van Morrison as an influence.
Them/Bowie = the saxophone: both Van Morrison and Bowie play the sax.

Only the David Bowie/Hermans Hermits connection correct Tommo Good answers but only 2 points

David Bowie covered Them's "here comes the night" on his Pin Ups album (from clue, not google)
Wasn't Peter Noone in Coronation St at one time? Davy Jones did appear in it (edited to add that)
Total guess, Ozzy Osbourne & Motorhead appeared at a Monsters of Rock festival together at Castle Donnington?
Eric Wrixon was the founder member of Them & Thin Lizzy (did have to google that).
Good clues, see if someone else can sweep up the rest.

Thin Lizzy/Motorhead link : Brian Robertson. Also one-time member of the band Wild Horses. Plays a black Gibson Les Paul guitar. Exponent of the Talk Box, earlier users of which are Peter Frampton, John Miles and Joe Walsh. You know, they use a bit of plastic tubing in the mouth which makes it sound like the instrument is talking. Frampton tracks : Do You Feel Like I Do and Show Me The Way. Great Joe Walsh tracks: Those Shoes and Rocky Mountain Way. ;D
