Thank you all for your interest in the health status of Kier: I sent a text to Melcolm Page Who saw him last week and he said Kier is in good spirits and holding his end up.

Sadly I can update,
Keir passed away on Tuesday afternoon.
Our thoughts are with Pearl and his family, friends and team mates.
A gentleman who will be missed by all who knew him.

Have to echo your comments BFG - Keir was most certainly one of the "old school" He earns my respect through having been awkward to play against - and for being gracious & respectful whatever the outcome. I would suggest that the league makes every effort to mark his passing formally, though a formal tribute or donation to cause - and by attending the funeral if possible.
Keir graced this league throughout the Woodies time in the league; the least we can do is say goodbye to him. :( Pearl, and his team mates have my sympathies.

to hear the news about Keir, he will be sadly missed around the league and at the weekend. I am intending to mark the passing of both Keir and Peter Marshall at the weekend where we can all remember them.
