Schooner 3 Gardeners A 2
Match played in great spirits on the somewhat tricky Duke of Wellington. All games very close and probably in reality could have gone either way. Plenty of banter and the usual pizza to follow, the story of the match was really except for a 1500 break, unfortunately not kept, by Jean it was a matter of get what you could and then keep it.

The Nobby Clark final was played last night at the Swan between the Three Horseshoes A & the Gardeners B, a repeat of the Chairmans cup final from May.
Game 1 - Nick Brown 7,760 v 4,780 Mal. Nick opened with a very steady 7k+ leaving Mal little time to catch up. He finished off with nearly 5k 1 - 0
Game 2 - Tony Burgess 1,540 v 2,480 BB Reaper A fairly scrappy game which Kev led most of the way 1 - 1
Game 3 - Neil Higgins 6,600 v 5,960 Sir Kt Neil opened with about 1800. I cleared the table and felt really good reaching 5800 without a hiccup, then played the split too thick and played another poor shot up the table to come off. Neil got them back and caught me just before the bar. 2 - 1
Game 4 - Paul Barnett 240 v 13,060 Ian Ian broke off with 1600 and also hit a thick split. He retrieved the break soon after and mad another 7k putting the point beyond doubt. 2 - 2
Game 5 - Gary Ridley 3,280 v Chocie 5,220 Turn on your pacemaker time :P Gary off with 1300, Stu off at 700. Balls up the table for a while before Stu got them back and made a 4k break, which proved to be a winning score. So 3 - 2 to the Shoes, the same score from the Chairmans cup as well. Well done boys ;D
