Stand Up Inn 3 Brewers Droops 2
Andy FW hit just under 5k in the first for the win followed by a good win for the Xpony tailed guy hitting a break of 6k and finishing on about 7k. ;)
Then it went down hill from there as Sandra lost on the last ball. :'( I didnt have a clue how to play the game :o :( Father Hall was always 1k behind. :(

Our postponed game at the Plough was played tonight and turned out to be a very close encounter.........
Chase Newman 3790 - BP Henry "H" Brooks Henry started with just over 1k before leaving the split short, Chase got the break back...... but missed it. The balls stayed at the back of the table for a while, Chase slowly catching up but with both struggling to clear them. H managed to get the break back to add 1.4k, Chase replied with 1.7k then rode his luck a bit but kept 1.2k leaving H 320 points down with 3 balls left. A good pot gave him 100, next shot added 20 leaving the last ball for the 200 hole to tie the game. The ball just touched the Black Peg, dropped into the 200 hole..... then the BP fell. 1-0 :'(
Trevor "TIR" Rees 2690 - 2940 Lady Ros Trevor missed the first split, Ros worked hard to get the break back and put in a useful 1k and then another similar break, Trevor got the balls back near the end to get 1.4k to take him to within a couple of hundred before missing while trying to keep 1 ball up. Ros potted one ball into the 20 hole then calmly slid the last ball into the 100 hole first time to level the match. 1-1 ;D
Sean Turner 680 - 8090 BB Warrior I missed my first split but managed to get the balls back on my next visit to the table and pushed in a slow 7k break to give Sean no real chance. 1-2 ;)
Jim McClean 2010 - 2080 BigTJ Lifesabitch Another last ball game to fray both of the captains nerves, neither player able to get going at the top of the table. Jim had a couple of chances but wasn't able to take the game and TJ secured the win with his second attempt at the 100 hole. 1-3 :D
Darren Newnham 2440 - 1790 DA-DM Colleen off fairly early and Darren got a nice 1.5k break and although Colleen battled hard at the back of the table she couldn't get the break back. 2-3 :(
A really enjoyable evening with some great company, good food, very close games and a narrow victory for the visitors! 8-)

Nice report BB Warrior and a very pleasant evening. One correction Big TJ finished with a 200 to win in the third last ball game of the night. I continued my home losing streak, hope to win at home before the end of the season!

Thanks Trevor for pointing out that TJ did indeed win his match with a last ball 200....... 8-)
I blame a dyslexic keyboard and another late night for the mistake! ::)
It was great to see Ian, Mary & Sean again who used to run the White Horse in Ditchling and who have always been strong supporters of Bar Billiards and "traditional pubs"........ it would be lovely to see a team from the Plough in the Mid-Sussex League (as well as Lewes!) at some stage in the future. ;)
