Hi Dave and Colleen, sorry about the clash with the Surrey open, however, first the good news - the mixed doubles will be played to a finish on the Saturday, but the bad news is the ladies is all on the Sunday, sorry.
As far as the other competitions go, please feel free to play whatever games you can on Friday and Saturday rather than pull out at the beginning as the rules state that if a player withdraws midway through a competition then the last player they beat is automatically reinstated.
So the doubles final is back on then, thats provided you get past Mr and Mrs Anscombe in the first round!! It's been some time since I played in the mixed doubles but I warn you now the last time I played I won it or should I say we won it ::) ::) ;D

Hi Alan
Many thanks for the info, would love to meet you in the final but will just have to see how we get on as I never look further than the first round in any tournament...... unless there is a Plate Competition!! ;D ;D
As far as I know, it's only the Mixed Doubles that I've entered as Colleen needed a partner, it didn't seem right for me to enter the other competitions as, at that time, I hadn't played any matches in West Sussex at all...... :-[
I'm glad to say that I've remedied that and, having checked the diary dates, pleased to say it looks as if I will be available to play (if needed) a few more before the end of the season. 8-) 8-)
So, maybe we will have a chance of that match on the Riley before too long..... ;)
In the meantime, Colleen has worked out that it is only 52 sleeps until the big day...... 104 including TTO's afternoon naps.... ::) ::) :-X
