Perhaps Dave Or Kevin could let people know when their match is to be played as I for one would love to watch . We were going to play it next Thursday, but I understand that there is a quiz night at Watermill then so I have just booked the table for Tuesday 5th May at 8pm..... 8-) ;D I beat Kev 2-1 at the Watermill tonight, it was a tough match - as you would expect...... ;) Game 1 - Kev won the toss and put me on, table was playing well and I was disappointed to come off at just under 1.5k. Luckily, I got the break back and managed to knock in 6k+, although I rode my luck a couple of times ::) and Kev finished the game off. Final scores were me about 8.5k to Kev's 3k. ;D Game 2 - The table suddenly developed a right-hand drift, which caught Kev out at about 2k on a split shot, but he kept his score. The balls stayed at the back for a while, then I got the break back but was off fairly quickly afterwards. Kev played the table better than me after that and ended up winning the game by about 5k to 1.5k. :( Game 3 - And the right hand drift had become a full roll..... :o Kev broke first, but we were both caught out by the table on less than 1k each, the game became a battle at the back of the table, with neither of us able to clear the balls for quite a while, but eventually I managed to get the break back and knocked in 2.5k. Kev had just about enough time left to catch me, but no matter what he tried the balls just didn't run for him and the game ended 4.5k to 1.5k to me. ;) Very enjoyable evening in good company, many thanks to CMOH, DA-DM :-* and Mama Hall for scoring the games..... 8-)

Congratulations H on reaching the Final...... even though you did send me a text saying that Spud had beaten you! :P ;D
Commiserations to Spud this time, but a great achievement to reach the semi-finals with some notable victories along the way...... and now that you are gaining experience by playing in the Opens I am sure that your game will continue to improve, as you have this season. ;)
I'm looking forward to the Final..... which H predicted many months ago when the 2nd Round was drawn! :o

Cheers for the kind words Dave, much appreciated.
As for the match itself, it was 2-0 but wasnt as one sided as i had feared. The first frame was a shocker and saw H win with a break of 400(!) to win 1800 to 1400.
The second frame was slightly better. A mid-game 4k break from H proved to be enough but i enjoyed perhaps slightly more table time and, had i not been so limp-wristed on my break and one-up shots, could have made more of a fight. In the end, 4.8k played 3.8k.
Well played to H, who had more in the tank than i did and totally deserved his victory. All the best in the final, it should hopefully be a corker.
