Any interesting snippets from the AGM for an interested party who couldn't attend? From memory (and in no particular order).................. A successful year etc etc; Meeting expressed their thanks to the hardworking committee; Accounts adopted, league entry fees pegged at £25, competition entries still free; Gratitude expessed for the year's press coverage; One Rule amendment proposed by Margo: Scorer AND Marker to be provided in league matches as per SCBBA Rule 31. An amendment from TIR was voted on and carried, changing it round so that the home team provide the official scorer and the away team the marker. It was resolved that no new Rule was required as we already adopt SCBBA playing rules. The new guideline to be circulated at the beginning of next season, but it is stressed that it is not enforcable and away teams could waive providing a marker if they so wished. BBW drew the meeting's attention to the existence of the new Mid Sussex page on the website which restores our archives. This was received well by those present. It was agreed as a matter of policy that 16 teams is the absolute maximum number of teams for all-play-all. Election of Officers. Shaun Morris resigned the Presidency, stating that a couple of years is a reasonable tenure before handing over to someone else. Shaun was thanked for his time and the energy which he had brought to the post. Oh - and Yours truly got his old job back ! ;D Jan Wells was voted a Life Vice-President, whilst Roy takes over as Fixtures Secretary in an official capacity. Other executive posts remain the same as before (Chairman Peter Edwards; Secretary & Treasurer Jenny Edwards, Competitions Secretary Lorraine Hall), and ditto for the Interleague Captains Lorraine and Ian. General Committee: A.Bateup, T.Rees, A.Farmer-Wright, D.Ingram and (newly-elected) Margo Thompson and Bob Hall. That's about it ! No doubt it will be pointed out if I have missed anything................ ;)

Great summary Tommo, with all the key points listed...... 8-)
The only other thing that I can add is that the Charity Cup raised £517.50 this year...... which I think is an excellent effort and totally justifies running the competition. ;D
Many thanks to all who took part and contributed so generously..... 8-)
