Question before I risk getting myself in trouble tonight...are we ringing the results through for the charity cup?

Question before I risk getting myself in trouble tonight...are we ringing the results through for the charity cup? The winning team should always phone the result through to the Old Fella.... ;)

Mill House Z 4, Plough (LB) 1
Graham Daniels (370) 6710, Mark Potter (1110) 2280 Mick Holmwood (370) 2950, Keith Potter (370) 2800 Barry Timson & Johnny Haigh (370) 1020, Des Gasson & Geoff Parsons (740) 3500 Mick Holmwood & Margo (370) 3580, Keith & Mark Potter (370) 2360 tommo (370) 3860, Mark Webber (370) 3130
Plough put up a valiant struggle, with all games being close. It was one of those nights when the balls landed in tricky positions leading to some cagey play on both sides.
Thank you to the opponents for making for an entertaining evening played in good spirit.

HH USC 4 - 1 White Horse
Bill Boyce (2770) 5310 - Ian Powell (2400) 3770 Bill continues to shine with a good 2k break early in the game and would have done more with the break back again I think :D.
Terry Gasson (790) 6490 - Trevor Howes (790) 3490 Terry played really well to beat Trevor against the break but still wanted more :o
Mick Kirwan/Ron Wales (1600) 3840 - Trevor Howes/Brian Coleman (790) 3150 I feared the worst with Trevor back on the table but I shouldn't have doubted my team mates as they both kept chipping away to make it 3-0 and match won ;D ;D
Bill Boyce/Chris Packham (2400) 3160 - Colin Mansfield/Colin Marshall (1200) 4330 The White Horse got one back with some good play and although Bill & Chris kept trying they just couldn't close the gap when it mattered :(
Graham Sparksman (0) 6650 - Colin Mansfield (1200) 3260 Having seen Colin play in the previous game I knew I had to perform and singularly failed to get the break back for much of the game but eventually it fell into place and put in a 4k+ break and touched up with the bar due ;)
A good evening with great banter and thank the White Horse boys for an enjoyable evening.

PLOUGH(PG):1 BREWERS BRAVOS:4 Good to be playing at another new venue
Ron Sheridan(2570):3440 Bravo:(370)3960 Bravo hauled himself over the finishing line with a 1.5k break as the bar was about to drop to take the opener. Mary Turner:(2200)2430 Spud:(1100)3120 A couple of small goes on the break brought me level and after that the frame was a bit scrappy, the roll catching both of us out when on decent scores. Ian+Ron:(1470)3140 Lynn+Nikki:(1470)3470 The best frame of the night with the ladies edging ahead with some good play and trying to maintain their lead against determined oppossition. In the end, Ian was left 210 behind with one white ball on the table to grant us the frame. Howard+Mary(2200)3350 Paul+Bravo:(370)4450 A 2k opener from Bravo levelled the scores and a further 1.5 later sealed the deal in another entertaing game. Sean Turner(1840)3640 Paul(1100)1530 Sean got one for his team with a decent performance. Paul was always trying to play catch up but an unfortunate event that led to the black going down rather scuppered his chances.
A good evening with new faces was enjoyed immensly, with the handicaps really making for some good matches tonight. We look foward to playing the same crowd in the league.

Match scores as promised - sorry they weren't posted earlier but I was out like a light last night, and have been at work all day so:
Laughing Fish 4 - 1 Hurst B
Andy Brooks (980) 2810 vs 4310 (980) John Lear
Neither comfortable with the new table early on. Mid way John settled and knocked in a 2k break but pegged it. Then in two consecutive goes the old man managed to peg and give the break back to John, who took advantage the second time to get a 1k break, and sealing it with another few medium sized near the end.
BB Warrior (0) 5730 vs 1860 (980) Iang
A slow start, with Dave hitting a split short at 600. Neither got going for a while, but Dave settled in a knocked in a good 4.5k break, and was unlucky to peg a further 2k near the end.
Andy Brooks + Chris Ashford (980) 2730 vs 2430 (0) Steve King + Dazza
A very scrappy game, nothing happening of note other than Dazza having a bit of bad luck pegging 2k and 1k breaks during the game.
H + BB Warrior (0) 7020 vs 3410 (980) John Lear + Marion Skinner
John opened proceedings with 650, and I followed with 1.7k. The balls then didn't play ball for a while, but I managed to get them back for a further 3k, with Dave adding 1k at the end and a few smaller breaks.
H (0) 10, 530 vs 150 (BP) (0) Steve King
A slow start for both of us, but Steve was the first to get the break back and knock in a solid 2k break. I replied with 6.8k, before Steve had a very unlucky whip out of the 50 pocket resulting in a black peg. A few goes later I got them back and finished with a 3k break.
Many thanks to Hurst B who were excellent company once more and indeed the first team to put the new top through its paces in a match! Looking forward to seeing them again in the league proper!

Nice 10K Henry I'm sure there will be many more. The Handicaps weren't really a factor in this match The Fish played well with the minimum 4 players.
Good spirits all round & i'll refund the 20p for the phone call next time I see you ;D ;D ;D ;D
Good mid match stoppage for some very nice Sausage pasta bake which went down very well. I would love to go back tonight for the special curry night hope it goes well & see you again.
