HH USC 5 - 0 Woolpack
Chris Packham 1980, Alex Slack* 1040
Bill Boyce* 2680, Jan Hinkins 2220
Terry Gasson 2600, Anne Stockinger* 1280
Mick Kirwan* 5780, Steve Lathwell 1080
Graham Sparksman 2260, Jim Blake* 1700
The result maybe 5-0 but the reality was that the result could have been so different with only Mick looking in control and getting a good score too :D.
My game was blighted by a very rare occurrence at the USC when 2 darts players (brothers in the same team :-/) started arguing about ownership of a drink which got very heated and even started fighting (right next to us) and were then held apart by others, this rumbled on for almost the whole game, expect a ban or two will happen :-X a pity as I knew Jim from my rugby days (yes, he isn't young either ;D) and he was very tempted to go and sort them both out, which he could do easily and you would understand if you met him :o

The two 'missing' match results from last week - and table -courtesy of the Old Fella :
Watermill A 4, Greyhound 1 The A Team share the top spot with Kleiners after a good win over the current champions Greyhound at Worlds End. A big 5K5 for Geoff Fairs in the first against John Willis got Greyhound off and running, only for them to hit the buffers big time. A 6k9 from Kim Stenning in the next against Neil Burchell levelled the scores and a John Staplehurst win in the third over Paul Goodwin put the A Team into the lead. A good captain’s match between Big Norm and Trevor Rees saw Norm come out on top and the victory secured. The additional point in the last leg went to Chris Nikolaj with a win over Peter Burchell.
Plough PG 1, Eight Bells 4 Plough PG move into second place despite a home defeat at the hands of 8 Bells. With Chase Newman spilling a 2K break in the first, Lady Ros played well to gain a first leg advantage for the visitors. Into the second where Posh Bob stood and watched as Darren Newnham scored a comfortable 6K8 to level the score. A good steady game in the third from Sir Trevor secured a win over Ron Sheridan and the lead was back with the Bells. A big 5K for Nick Brown in the next over Ian Turner secured the match win. The last frame was a very tight affair which was won by Tony Driver when potting the last ball after his opponent, Sean Turner had missed it.
Team played won points
Premier Division CKRBL 3 2 11 Watermill A 3 2 11 Laughing Fish 2 2 8 Mill House Z 2 1 7 Plough LB 1 1 6 Greyhound 2 1 6 Hurst B 3 0 4 Hurst A 2 0 1
Division 1 HHUSC 3 3 15 St Francis 3 3 13 Plough PG 3 2 10 Eight Bells 3 1 9 Bravos 2 1 7 Droops 1 0 2 Watermill B 2 0 2 Woolpack 3 0 2

Same with Hurst A vs Laughing Fish. Had a text from Bobhall last night. I understand that this match was meant to be played tonight, but that the Laughing Fish have had to cancel as they cannot raise a team....... and, as a result of this, that Hurst A are now claiming the match. ::) If this is the case, I will be raising the matter at the next Committee Meeting in respect of Rules 7a and 7b of MSBBL.

This is where you have it wrong Dave, Henry gave the Hurst the 5 points as I think Henry has now cancelled this match twice and the 1st time Rob had already been out and paid for the food.
Please get your facts right. >:(

it seems that it has been postponed by both sides originally due to Jersey.
this should now be between the 2 sides & the fixtures Secretary who will do the job he was elected for.
Ian.

i have not only missed 2 days work due to organising the match it is not my fault and that is why henry gave me the full 5 points and henry's team would rather do a quiz so i am happy as i not only had a team but was ready to play.
henry is not happy about not being able to get a team but could not get one so he was willing to give all five points.

All we can promise Dave is that his letter will receive due consideration at the next Committee meeting, or before if the person the letter is addressed to sees fit to answer it personally without involving the full Committee.
I am closing this thread for a 24-hour cooling off period.
[edit] duplication removed.
