Second visit to t'Mill this season for the Plough (the teams met six weeks ago in the Charity League) and this time the Plough proved to be tougher opposition, with Geoff's performance being sufficient to win on most occasions................

Rearanged from last week Saints 3 Bravos 2 Peter Geal unavailable, Bob Ellis slipped on wet leaves, done his back in, both missing. Foggers 2840 Bravo930 Once more Foggers played through the pain, always in control and lost a useful break late on
Roger Wallbank 1790 Nikki 1020 First league win for the academy. Close game until Roger pulled away at the right time
Mat Geal 1810 Spud 3190 Good game by spud. Mat anounced his retirement from home games after this leg
Manly Harveys 1420 LRM 1660 Chris binned a game winning break late on and Lynne took full advantage
TSO 3180 PMR 1660 Tactical affair with awkward balls making it unlikley the break would come back. TSO was studious, which is rare when he plays last.

We thank our correspondent The Old Fella for providing these three match reports :
Greyhound 2, CKRBL 3 The defending champions continue their lacklustre start to the season with a home defeat against high flyers Kleiners. Shaky Coles put the visitors into an early lead with a 6K score over Neil Burchell. Paul Goodwin hit a similar score in the second leg to defeat Gerry Edwards to bring it back level. Derek Taylor restored Kleiners lead with a win over Peter Burchell and a close encounter between Geoff Fairs and Peter Edwards went Peter’s way and the match was won. Trevor Rees hit a lovely 9350 to grab the last against Ted Stringer.
Woolpack 1, Plough PG 4 Plough PG now share the top spot in div’n 1 after this away win at the Woolpack. Ron Sheridan took the first from Mike Weber to put Plough into the lead, which was quickly lost with an uncharacteristic defeat for Darren Newnham to the home side’s Alex Slack. That was to be the Woolpack’s only point as Chase Newman beat Jan Hinkins, Jan Bithell overcame Anne Stockinger to win the match, and Dave Knight took the last leg away from Steve Lathwell.
Watermill B 3, Droops 2 The Bees move above the Droops following their home win. Gavin put the Bees into the lead with a close win over Alan Humphrey. Sabina Williams dished out a rare defeat for The Farmer to make it 2 nil. Droops new boy Stephen Costa took a frame back for Droops with a win over Mark Ridley and it was 2 all when Noddy Humphrey took frame 4 from Paul Blackburn. Into the decider where Jock failed to get to grips and lost out to Tony Williams who made it a good win to the Bees.
