Well, at least our match survived the weather..... ::)
Windmill 1 Schooner 4
Alan Messer 0 - 7,400 Rick Cunningham A couple of useful breaks by Rick won him the match, with Alan taking out the black peg near the end of the game. 0-1
Dave Ingram 4,300 - 4,140 Dave Anscombe Plenty of chances for both of us in this game, but neither of us were able to settle on the table. Dave A missed a shot to the 50 hole after the bar had dropped, I gratefully cleared the last few balls and got the 100 hole first time to steal the win. 1-1
Mick Pope 540 - 4,420 Bill Kerr Neither player really were comfortable on the table, Bill had a couple of small breaks, while Micky never got going at all. 1-2
Gina Sherratt 5,100 - 6,330 Tony Jenner Best game of the night, Gina built up a lead of about 2.5k with Tony struggling.... TJ then got the balls back and knocked in a break of 5.9k. Gina had to stay on the table to have any chance of catching him, but she came off with about a minute left. 1-3
Edge Butler 1,370 - 5,500 Steve Aylmore Steve had a couple of reasonable breaks to build a lead, Edge had the break back a couple of times but was never able to close the gap. 1-4
Good company, plenty of banter and laughs, TJ went to the chip shop and bought huge quantities of chips.... we look forward to the re-match next week.

Another fixture to survive the freeze
Swan `A` 1 Three Horseshoes `A` 4
Vern Blake 5,750 v 6,140 Lolly - Closest game of the night saw Vern & Chris have several chances each. The left hand roll certainly causing havoc with numerous shots. Chris made the most of the 21st minute to just edge it. 0 - 1
Chris Scott 1,020 v 14,740 Sir KT - Chris broke down quite early and i got them back to take an 8k lead. Two more visits added to my total. 0 - 2
Dave France 15,950 v 1,680 Bigjimsilverfox - A chance for Jim to seal the points which unfortunately he never took. Not his favourite table i think :P, as he came off on his second split leaving Dave to firstly make an 8k break followed by another 7k 1 - 2
John Hayward 2,900 v 5,900 Chris Elliott - Supersub Chris (standing in for the stranded Stu) capitalized on John`s early demise, making a steady 3k break about two thirds through the game. 1 - 3
Pete Mansfield 1,470 v 6,270 Mr Reaper - Kev sealed a good win on a tricky top with a couple of decent breaks.
Thanks to the Swan who put on some sandwiches at short notice.

The roll certainly caught me out, although being tired and cold didn't help and if the bar had been 21 hours I still don't think I would have got the break back
