Windmill 1 Three Horseshoes `A` 4
Excellent win for the Shoes last night on an unpredictable Windmill top. The break and split sequence were very good, but up the top, well... Alan & myself were both caught out twice up by the left hand 20 hole. I played identical shots back to back and it rolled different ways on both :o
Alan M. 3430 v 7840 Sir KT Charlie C. 3870 v 7860 Lolly BB Warrior 9620 v 8050 Mr Reaper - Definitely game of the night, Kev opening with a flawless 8k but leaving both balls up on a split. Dave gets them back and replies with 9k. Great game guys. Gina S. 2330 v 3400 Chocie Mike P. 750 v 7400 Bigjimsilverfox
With the Wellie slipping up at the Schooner, that gives us a slight cushion before they come to us in March ;)

Apparently, Kev only took 9 minutes to make his opening 8k and it wasn't a touchup, he caught the split slightly too thick.
This left Dave just enough time to chase him down. Respect ! ;)
As you say, a great leg, Kev though the loser, finishing with highest score on his side amongst distinguished company.
8k v 9k would be a good standard for reasonable players over 2 legs ! :-/

Kev & I have had a lot of good battles over recent years, but this certainly topped the lot. ;D Ke's opening break was superb, having missed his first split (the Windmill table catches most players out in the same way! ::)) he adjusted perfectly to the table and I wasn't expecting to get a shot until he was out of reach...... but he caught one split slightly wrong and came off after just over 8 minutes...... I got the break back and, with just over 10 minutes to go, managed to catch him up and take a slight lead..... having a few nervous shots at the back of the table at that stage before coming off on just over 9k when the bar dropped. 8-) Inevitably, Kev got a lot of "sympathy" from his team mates for being the only loser on the night....... ::) :P Nice to see The Chosen One there last night...... Glenn popped in for a quick drink and to say hello to Gina & Charlie at about 8pm...... he was still there at the end of the match! :o ;D

Swan B 3 Old House 2 Barry 3570 Nick 7520. Not sure when I can remember Barry getting the break twice on his own top and not killing it. But well stuck at Nick
Brian 9570 Tony 2960. Brian off to a very slow start but rolls in a good break towards the end to clinch it.
Roger 690 Barny 10990. Table specialist (?) Barny gets 10k an the Swan, don't think there has been too many occasions when this has happened. Rog never got going. Good game Barney.
Mat 11840 Gary 780. Mat played really well, just about the reverse of the previous game
Doug 5220 Neil 2370. Neil kicked off with an immaculate 7k before the now notorious Swan table threw in a thin split and take the left hand peg. Doug needed two chances before clinching the game (and the match). Bad luck Neil, just a little bit cruel.
Sets up a good evening for Sunday when Worthing B are at home to Worthing A. Look out for that thin split lads!!!!!
