M Smith and G Jukes bt T Jenner & D Anscome 2-0 tonight.
Wish I could have stayed longer for the post match entertainment - a Hendrix tribute band named Dolly Dagger. Not bad from what I did hear though.

I beat Vern Blake 2-0 in the over 50's. Many thanks to Mick Pope and to Chris Scott who came to score in an otherwise very deserted side of the pub.
I look forward to playing either Paul or Tony in the final- but I can't help thinking whatever happened to the 20-somethings that we all were when we first met up playing this funny old game.
A most modest prize awarded to the most humourous reply

I'm surprised they allowed you into it - you must have forged your birth certificate, Alan. ;)
I suppose it won't be too long before I'm eligible to take part myself. :-/

Lady H :-* & Ana beat Jean & Sandra 2-0 in the Ladies Doubles last night on a tricky Old House table. All four players struggled to get the break and both games were played mostly up the top of the table. The first game was decided on the last ball, Ana sinking the pot on her second attempt. The second could have gone either way as well until Hayley made a 1300 break just before the bar dropped

Well done to Hayley and Anna for making finals night and good luck to both yourselves and whoever your opponents turn out to be.

Well done to Hayley and Anna for making finals night and good luck to both yourselves and whoever your opponents turn out to be. .....who will be Gina & Colleen :-* ..... who beat Lorraine & Sheena 2-1 at the Old House last night. The table certainly wasn't easy and the players weren't helped by the "locals" showing no respect for any of them and barging into them on the way to the toilets all of the time..... ::) >:(
