Albion A 3 Schooner 2
Sandra * 3830 2940 Dave I Plenty of chances each, Dave in fact had three chances at break, but neither took advantage until Sandra put in a 1k break at end.
Bella * 5330 4960 Bill Bella in control for most of way until Bill got hold of break and built 1k lead before missing straight 50 hole Bella played rest of time out.
Kevin * 100 8570 Rick Kevin certainly had all the bad luck, Rick played well but we did need a couple of shoe inspections.
Alan * 2970 430 TJ Looks a bad game but Alan did peg around 8k break, as for me the only useful contribution I made was the red down the 100 hole at end.
Jean * 1620 2160 Dave A Plenty of chances again here with Dave just squeezing out win, not sure but think I heard some words from Jeans lips that would have shocked me if I had better hearing.
A great night as usual with plenty of banter, and now look forward to return trip to Albion Sunday for inter-league. Good luck to the ladies ( including the Schooners Colleen) on Sunday at Redhill in the BIOC ladies competition.

Suppose that means Horseshoes 2nd and not sure about 1st Division as must be close between Albion A and Atlas now.

Three Horseshoes 5 Atlas 0
A good finish for the outgoing champs, the table played a bit better than recent weeks. The sad news is that Geoff & Sandra will be leaving in a couple of weeks as the pub has now been sold. Good luck to them both.

Thanks KT, Windmill beat us 3-2 last night at the Romans but it could be fair to say the match was not too competitive as both teams have won their respective divisions.
The Horseshoes do take second on leg difference from the Albion B.
The Atlas secure second spot also by leg difference from the Albion, both teams won 8 matches, the Atlas took 41.5 legs, the Albion 40.
Awaiting Duke of Wellie v Montreal to see who escapes the bottom of div 1.
There are some Div 2 results to come, but a Romans A win would have clinched it last night against the Brewery Tap.....
I hope to have the final positions on the website soon...

Due to my mother being unwell I couldn't make it last night, but I believe that The Mont won 3-2 putting us bottom.
Well done to them and to all for an enjoyable season.

Brewery Tap 4-1 Romans (played at the Montreal)
Spencer Noble 1280 - 5560 Paul Pitfield Dan Davis 3370 - 1630 Dave Nicholls Phil Reay 2840 - B/P Terry Stapleton Matthew Knight 1100 - 150 Dave Roberts Rose McGuiness 1100 - B/P Peter Aylemore
24 hours is obviously a long time in bar billiards as the saying goes - as we avenged our defeat of last night in no uncertain terms. There were a few shocks on and off the table - and I understand that the Romans had not won the league as I thought last night. The Wellie A still have a chance and we have a re-arranged game with them next Tuesday 13/04/10 also at the Montreal.
I understand they won 4-1 against the Bib and Tucker last night and that their final match of the season (against them) is scheduled for Wednesday 14/04/10 so everything is still up for grabs.......I think!
Thanks to the Montreal for their hospitality and for hosting our last matches.

Thanks for those div 2 results guys....
I can confirm that the Wellie A need two 5-0 wins to tie the Romans A at the top of div 2.....if they pull that off then we will need a play off!

Sorry to hear about your mother regg3y.......the Wellie B did enough to escape bottom spot by winning two legs, the teams finished on 3 wins each, Wellie B won 28 legs, montreal 26 legs - very close but well done to the Mont for winning two of their last 3 matches.
