Mill House Z 3, Greyhound 2
tommo 1570, Paul Goodwin 1740 MrMike007 4090, Peter Burchell 2440 Alan Downs 1690, TIR 6560 SuperG 4480, Neil Burchell 1820 Barry Timson 5870, Geoff Fairs 1600
Greyhound led 2-1 after home captain tommo's BP indiscretion and a fine display of shots from away captain Trevor.
But the Zeds rallied to take the last two games and match win bonus and have a nervous wait to see if it's enough to crack open the bubbly.
All depends on whether or not Watermill A managed a point at the Plough............if they didn't then Mill House will still need to take a frame next week at their 'bogey' venue the Watermill. :-/

WATERMILL B:2 BREWERS BRAVOS:3 This match was played to the background of of Russia Vs. Germany at Stalingrand circa 1942 (or was it Tottenham vs. Arsenal at White Hart lane. Sometimes, it was hard to tell). Anyway, these are the scores.
Paul:4260 Lynne:1450 Martin:4120 Nikki:1100 Gavin Offam(?):660 Paul:2560 I didn't quite get this gentelmans name but he was the landlord so i referred to him as "Sir". Mark:1680 Bravo:6350 An unfortunate 4 break from Mark let Bravo in early. Gavin Boyd:1680 Spud:5000
As always, a good evening with the bees with all the matches played in good spirit. Look foward to playing them again next season.
Got back to the Brewers in time to watch an excellent decider between the Droops and St.Francis. The Droops claimed this one 3-2 to make it eye-wateringly close in the final week.

WATERMILL B:2 BREWERS BRAVOS:3 --------------------------------- Got back to the Brewers in time to watch an excellent decider between the Droops and St.Francis. The Droops claimed this one 3-2 to make it eye-wateringly close in the final week. Eye-wateringly close indeed Spud............ Eight Bells 5 Woolpack 0 Scores (in order of play) Trevor 2110 Russ Jennings 1500 Russell pegged his opener, Trevor pulled ahead and stayed there. Nick 5060 Jim Blake 1240 Nick opened with just over 2k and continued to add to it, Jim had no luck at all until nearly the end of the game. Tony Driver 3200 Anne Stockinger 690 Tony played a good game with a lot of well thought out shots (including a very rare 'safety' shot!) and left Anne with very little table time. Doug Mahy 5830 Jan Hinkins 1160 Jan fought very bravely, but was no match for a determined Doug. Ros 5120 Lynn Storr 1090 Lynn off early with a one up put behind the 50, I failed to capitalise. But I got the balls back later and touched on to bank a 3.9k break. By my reckoning, this puts us on equal points with St Francis (but behind them due to less matches won) and half a point ahead of the Bravos - who we play next week.

Laughing Fish 4 Hurst B 1 Highlight of the evening was a cracking score of 16,890 from H..... 8-) .... in the first game of the evening against IanG. :o This match report added by TheOldFella: In the battle at the bottom of the Premier, Laughing Fish hosted the match against Hurst B Aitch into overdrive, hitting a wonderful 16,890 to take the first from The Giff. A much closer game in the second went to Steve King who defeated Chris Ashford and evened things up. The Warrior took frame 3 with a big hit over Dazza and another 5K from Andy Brooks against King Lear saw match won. Jim Ashford hit a nice 6K to comfortably take the last from Chris Kirkham.

Got back to the Brewers in time to watch an excellent decider between the Droops and St.Francis. The Droops claimed this one 3-2 This report added by TheOldFella: Saints now share second place in division 1 with 8 Bells following their defeat at the hands of Droops. Bob Ellis took frame 1 for the visitors against Alan Humphrey and Manly Harveys won a very good leg against Noddy Humphrey. A lovely 9K from the Farmer started the Droops revival, giving Peter Geal no chance. Scores were level after Jock hit 6K to defeat TSO and the match winner came from Liam Churcher who hit 6K past Matt Geal who finished with 5K himself. A good match.

All depends on whether or not Watermill A managed a point at the Plough............if they didn't then Mill House will still need to take a frame next week at their 'bogey' venue the Watermill. :-/ Well, after much teasing from the OldFella and holding out till the absolute last minute to give us the result, it is now apparent that the Premier League Title has been won by the Mill House Z and congratulations go to the Plough LB for securing runners-up spot - both with a week to spare. Here is the OldFella's Report on this one, the point taken in the last game by BigNorm being crucial indeed............ Plough LB 4, Watermill B 1Plough LB keep in feint touch with the leaders following a home win over The A Team. Keith Potter took frame 1 from Kim Stenning and the second went to Des Gasson with a win over John Staplehurst. The A Team continued to struggle as Mark Webber beat Chris Nikolaj and Rodney Storr went down to Geoff Parsons. The last, important point went to Big Norm in a very close game against Mark Potter and it avoided the brush.

By my reckoning, this puts us on equal points with St Francis (but behind them due to less matches won) and half a point ahead of the Bravos - who we play next week. You have that spot on Ros. St Francis go into the last week with what seems the tiniest of advantages, but will be relishing the home fixture v Watermill B. A huge swing either way in your match will be needed to deny them the runners-up award. Here are the new tables with the Mill House Z taking the Premiership on matches won no matter what happens next week. 8-) Congratulations also to Plough LB who have secured the runners-up honours with a late flurry and with a week to spare.
