Laughing Fish 3.5 vs 2.5 Plough Plumpton
H 10350 vs 260 Geoff Fairs
Geoff let me on early, but I pegged my 2k effort. He kept letting me on though and I settled down for a 7980 break.
Jim Ashford 5950 vs 710 Ron Sheridan
Jim played excellently with 2k and 3k breaks, Ron not having much luck.
Chris Ashford 3240 vs 4150 Darren Newnham
Darren got off to a good start, and chris was trailing for most of the game, but suddenly burst into life at the end to chase, but with not quite enough time.
Andy Brooks 430 vs 7790 Dave Knight
Dave did something every time he came to the table, with breaks of 2k and 4k to win comfortably.
H + Andy 4240 vs 4240 Dave + Steve Smith
Dave was the first one to score much here, giving them a 2k lead, with a bit more added by Steve. I managed to chase down the difference and take the lead, but came off a bit too early, at which point Steve gave them a 500. The old man came to the table just as the bar dropped and went for the draw, even though he didn't need to! *yes, this is a grumble*
Jim + Chris 4570 vs 3040 Darren + Geoff
Jim and Chris played excellently again to get a 4k lead, Darren and Geoff chasing at the end, but again with not quite enough time.
A very high scoring off the spot night, with some great play all round, and a real good laugh with the guys from the Plough!
