Hurst Club 5 United Services Club 1
Kevin Hall 6,050* - 1,000 Gina Sherratt Kev opened with just under 3k, Gina tried everything to get the break back but Kev was the one who managed it. 1-0
Rob Hall 290 - 6,430* Bill Kerr A very solid, steady 6k opener from Bill gave Rob no chance. 1-1
Jim Greensted 4,810* - 330 Tony Jenner Jim unfortunately lost his 6k opener when a split whipped out of the 100 hole and took the peg, but he left it very awkward and Tony couldn't take advantage. Jim was first to get the break back and made a good 4k+, coming off just before the bar dropped. 2-1
Lorraine Hall 2,380 - 1,040* Dave Ingram I lost my opening break and, although we both had chances neither of us really took advantage. Lorraine played a steady game and knocked in a useful 1k right towards the end to take the game. 3-1
Jim & Lorraine 5,750* - 0 Dave & Tony Jim opened with a good 5.5k and touched when he got out of position, I got the balls back straight away and reached 4.5k before leaving one in front of the 10 hole, duly missed it..... game over, although I did have time to knock the black peg over after that. ::) 4-1 :'(
Kevin & Rob 1,460 - 250* Bill & Graham Sparksman A scoreline that does no justice, Sparky was on a lovely 8k+ break before he left one just in front of the 10 hole, unfortunately just missing it off the side cushion. Rob the lost a break of just under 3k, Bill kept 250 and then Kev touched up on 1.2k to take the last frame. 5-1
Congratulations to the Hurst Club for winning the first Mid-Sussex Off the Spot League, many thanks to Andy, Linda and the staff at the Laughing Fish for their hospitality this evening.... and for having the idea to play the competition in the first place. 8-)
We've had some really enjoyable evenings in good company and look forward to playing again next summer. ;D

You didn`t get the best of luck last night but it was another fun night with nice company and food! Great to see Charlie about with Gina again! :) [edited to insert quote portion correctly - tommo]
