Laughing Fish 2 - 3 Plough PG
Andy Brooks 0 - 11780 Dave Ingram Ray Carpenter 4870 - 1620 Chase Newman Chris Ashford 3610 - 5770 Darren Newnham H 19,290 - 0 Dave Knight Jim Ashford 1260 - 4770 Jan Bithell
Dave opened with 11k in the first, and I'm afraid I played the table out in game 4 (sorry Dave) - didn't quite make the target though. Chris was unlucky in game 3, leading for most of the way, but a late 4k break for Darren made the difference.
Really nice night with the guys from the Plough, and a high scoring match (with the lowest winning score of 4770).

Watermill A - 4 Watermill B - 1
Big Norm got off to a good start but some good pressure from yours truly including a nice clearance at the end. Norm 4230 - Mark - 2440
John and Lee had a bit of a scrap and could have gone either way but some good potting from John at the end. John 2060 - Lee 940
Jim and the Flying Dutchman had a good game with some nice breaks from TFD to win out in the end. Jim 820 - Martin 2900
Was a bit of a struggle early on from Kimbo and Gavin The Landlord gave him something to think about but the maestro eventually stepped up a gear and won out. Kim 7080 - Gavin 1590
The final game saw a great break from Gavin followed by some lovely play from Chris. A good game to end on. Chris 4740 - Gavin 2530
Big thanks to Vicky for some fab food, although must remember not to eat before a game down the Watermill !!!!

That wouldn't by any chance be the Ray Pratt who used to play cricket for Lindfield would it ? Played against him many times.

Hello once again. Been a bit tardy this season at posting so lets make a proper start now
GREYHOUND:2 BREWERS BRAVOS:3
Paul:1270 Spud:2510 Finally put a "W" by my name on the scorecard this season. Balls seemed to gravitate towards the back of the 10 hole so a mid-game 1k break was enough to get this one. Geoff:2280 Lynne:1920 Their second meeting in three days and again Geoff took the honours. Close all the way through but a last ditch 700 or so put Geoff over the finishing line. Peter:2350 Nikki:B/P Actually didn't see much of this one but Nikki wasnt happy with the way she played, which is the first time in living memory that i think she has said that openly. Do what any seasoned pro does Nikki and blame the table/venue/beer or anything else that you can think of. Its easier. ;) ;D Well played to Peter.
Trevor:3150 Bravo:4200 A good captains clash. Trevor was off early but Bravo was struggling and Trevor was soon back on to extend his lead. Bravo finally had his chance and put on a hard working 2k break which proved to be just enough.
Ted:1690 Paul:4050 Paul made his job a lot easier by opening up with the nights highest break of 2k5. Ted actually played a lot of good shots in this frame but could never seem to hit the one that got him on the break, leaving him little chance.
It was, all told, a pleasant evening at one of my favourite venues in the league. Trevor was dissapointed that the table had been moved since he had set it up, and the scores show it was a mite tricky but nothing really "wrong" with it. Cheers to the Greyhound team for a nice evening.

Woolpack 1, Horns Lodge 4 report from roy for the woolpack horns lodge Horns Lodge moved up the division 1 table after this week’s away win at the Woollies. Lodge skipper Kevin Steven took frame 1 from Lyn Storr followed by a very tight leg between Nick Pitcher and Anne Stockinger which went the way of the Lodge player. Malc Fuller pulled 1 back for the Woollies by beating Roger Dudman but a Geoff Winson win over Nigel Bransby gave the Lodge the match. Tom Massey took the final point, having a good old tussle with John Brocklehurst
