WOOLPACK v HURST B 2 - 3 Jan Hinkins 820 - 1980 Chris Kirkham :) Lyn Storr 3260 - 2310 John Lear :( Anne Stockinger 1290 - 2140 Colleen Park :) Nigel Bransby 390 - 5280 Steve King :) Malcolm Fuller 5550 - 760 Marion Skinner :(
The bar didn't drop on the second game so the game was stopped at 30 mins or so when this was realised and all the balls played as though the bar had gone. (after which a delicate tap to the pull handle from yours truly dropped the bar).....as for the rest of the games - lots of pegs, stuck balls in corners etc a tricky top, break was easy enough but getting them back wasn't !
Entertainment was provided by a live jazz band, food was egg mayo or tuna mayo sandwiches with quavers and crisps, a very pleasant evening, although absent our captain 'the gifster' was pleased when informed. get well soon Ian G xx

Wow, all the results in already, good work Bob !
Zeds 3, Bravos 2.
Eventful evening, SuperG using up most of our allowance of runs in frame 2 to reward his fans on the 'Tipsters'. And Spud had tommo trussed up like a Christmas Turkey in frame 5 to make up for his unluck of the night before. As usual some good high jinks with the Bravos, and our own efforts to put our own player off in frame 3 to no avail........
MrMike007 3520, Bravo 4080 SuperG 10,160, Lynne M-R 990 BarryT 4440, Nikki Hinkins 990 Alan Downs 3740, Paul M-R 510 tommo 2790, Spud 3490

Plough LB - 2 Watermill B - 3
A slow start as both players struggled a bit early on but both found some form with Geoff closing out a tight game. Geoff 1810 - Gavin 1110
Lee also took time to get to grips with the table and was unlucky to peg some good points and Rick held his nerve for a 2-0 lead to the Plough. Rick 1160 - Lee 390
Gavin managed to put together some good breaks and kept plugging away and managed a good win against an unlucky Lewis. Lewis 790 - Gavin 2130
Martin and Des's game was a tight affair with both players putting on some useful pints but the Flying Dutchman kept up the pressure to make it 2-2 on the evening. Des 1350 - Martin 1870
So down to the deciding game and after a good break from yours truly, Keiron came right back in to the game to set up a nail biting final ball game which, after a few attempts from both players, went the way of the Watermill - just !! Keiron 1950 - Mark 2080
Many thanks to the Plough for a great evening and a special mention to Keiron who, in his first season, played really well.

In order of play
Ron Wales 2240 - 3260 Kevin Stevens*
Andy Guy* 4050 - 2330 Chris Farrow

quote from mr wells windmill A 2 Eight bells 3 . More room at the top for 8 Bells as they beat The A Team at Worlds End. A 5K for Doug Mahy over Chris Nikolaj was cancelled out by a 5K for Kim Stenning over Rob Driver. Bells went back into the lead with a close game for Tony Driver over Jim Blake, but a Big Norm demolition of Denise Mahy left it all square. A 5K for Nick Brown saw the Bells home and their lead stretched to 3 points.
