Can i ask what the rules are about paying for the games and if food is provided at neutral venues ? I would say pay with the breaks and 50/50 last game. Regarding food some Stewards/Landlords may charge £1 per player or run a card. ( I think ours might be free thurs ;D) Pete

Gladiator Club 2 V Shelly Arms 3
1. Pete Smith 2370 lost to Andy Durham 4030 (Break 3700) 2. Grant Johnson 2860 lost to Martin Coulthard 3860 3. Neil Cunliffe BP lost to Patrick Brown 670 4. Phil Clark 2080 beat Francis Cartwright BP 5. Reg Johnson 4040 beat Dean Plumstead 1480
Short report Neil Black pegged with game won. Phil struggled to win his. Reg was Reg slow and dependable. Our clock mechanism broke before the match tonight so myself and the Shelly captain chose 17 minute games all to be timed by Phil with his stop watch, this arrangement worked well and no complaints from either side. Phil will repair the part that is broken and fit it either Sunday night or early Monday night in time for the Wallingford league match. ANDY DURHAM break of 3700.

Where’s the reporters, then?
Vikings 2 Kennington 3 @the Masons
Allan Lacey beat Ian Gordon in a closely fought 1st game. 1-0
Mark Trafford played well with a big break to beat Bob Allsworth to make it 1-1.
The 3rd game paired up the Ladies & Men’s County champions Pauline Withey and Mike Jones with Pauline completely outplaying Mike in her score of 9,000. 1-2
Ian Moss beat Kevin Godfrey. Ian made a good break after Kevin had knocked over the black peg. 2-2
The timed last game between Alan Oliver & Steven Sheard was a classic. Alan was put in 1st and made a tremendous break of 13,560 in 18 min’s 4 sec’s. Steven followed and passed Alan’s score with 4 min’s to spare......superb game and well played Steven. 2-3
A great match played in a very friendly atmosphere.

Pete what are the rules regarding breaks on nutral table matches , do you choose breaks before the draw or after Hi Dave The neutral table match at the Masons was done as follows... 1. Make the draw. 2. Toss coin for breaks 1 & 3 or 2 & 4. 3. After the 1st four games have been played, toss coin for choice of break in timed game. Pete was there, so this must be the rule. Keith
