Probably the most difficult table I have played on for some time with a huge roll left and so quick coming back (could be uphill, methinks!!)
Plough LB 2 Eight Bells 3 Wins for Doug (game 2), Denise(game 3) and Nick (game 5).

Lost 5-0, no real ale on draught, concussion. Nice to see Margo again. Off to bedders. Good night all. TSO Entertaining evening, especially with the 'Facebook aspect' (don't ask!) TSO still managed the highest score for his side despite the obvious distraction. Sorry about the no draught ale, though didn't prevent you from quaffing a tarry-looking concoction - Guinness? At least Manly had the sense to revert to Fosters. Scores for those interested: BT 2670, GirlieFosters 1020 AD 2750, Bob Ellis 740 GD 4610, TSO 3160 MH 4380 Foggers 1460 CT 4410, Matt Geal 1530 Tried to make the table as like the St Francis as I could for you, but only Matt tried the break back to front - and got it straight away. Expect a big lump will appear tomorrow where you butted that beam....Ouch!

U.S.C.:0 BREWERS BRAVOS:5
Mick:1840 Paul:2830 As was to be the theme of the night neither player settled on break despite numerous chances. Paul toughed it out with a mid game 1k5 break. Ron:1510 Spud:1990 Good game in and of itself but i don't think either of us really got to grips with it tonight. Andy Guy:1200 Lynne:3040 Whilst never hitting the break Lynne played her socks off, playing very good shots around the 100 hole. Andy never seemed to get the luck of the dice (balls?) at all. Tim Best:1360 Nikki:1410 Cracking game. Nikki made her life harder by pegging an early good break and Tim seemed to be taking advantage. Nikki then got a go as the bar dropped and seemed crestfallen when she potted the last 8 balls. She cheered up when it was realised that it had just been enough to win. Perhaps she was less pleased when I told her she had "cojones" but a good win nonetheless.
Ray Pratt:1860 Bravo:5950 I know I always sing his praises but Bravo played damn well tonight, knocking in a 5k break when the rest of us were struggling. Ray had done the early running but couldn't capatilise.
Bit of a shock result really. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable evening with the USC with lots of good banter. Hell, I even enjoyed the Brie that i thought might give a go for the first time ever.
Cheers all.

Plough Lower Beeding v Eight Bells I don't think that the Bells team will like the table much, but they will still be too strong for the new look Plough team so a 3-2 away win. Doug to top score with a battling 5k. That was so close to being 100% right - apart from the obvious understatement! Plough 2 Eight Bells 3 Steve Whyte 2290 - Ros 1140 Rick Hammond 920 - Doug 3460 Geoff Parsons 810 - Denise 1210 Mark Webber 5250 - Trevor 1160 Steve Budd 400 - Nick 1600 Nice to see Steve playing in Mid Sussex again. I couldn't find the break and Steve got it back for a useful 1k, which pretty much remained the margin for the whole game. Doug definitely did battle - he did not have a single crack at the break for his 3.5k ::) Denise managed to find the break once, but then it eluded her and the left roll caused her to miss a ball - losing her opener. Geoff never managed to get the balls back and Denise grafted for a good win at the back of the table. With the only decent score of the night, Mark showed that the table could be played - if you knew how! Trevor played the back of the table well and would probably have won against a different opponent. Like Denise, Nick found the break once and then missed it. Play went to the back and Nick just kept working to secure the match. I'm tempted to say something rude about the table, but I'll let the scores speak for themselves! A good friendly evening though - with really nice sandwiches and generous dishes of "Parson's Perfect Pickles! 8-)

Laughing Fish 4 - 1 Watermill A
Brief report since technically im still at work.
Wins for Ray, Chris, Myself and Les.
Kim won for the watermill with a clinical 7k against Jim - the highest score of the night since I managed to peg a 2k break and im convinced 1000 was missed off my opener by the scorer, but hey ho!

Woolpack 4, Watermill B 1 The Woollies grab a second league win and propel this week’s opponents, the Bees, to the bottom of division 1. Russ Jennings played his first game this season and took the opener against Gavin Boyd to put the Woollies in front. Anne Stockinger secured her first win this term, beating Nigel Orme to put the home side 2 up. Martin Range played a captains’ game against Jan Hinkins to give the Bees what was to be their only point before Woollies newbie Malc Fuller hit the best of the match against Mark Ridley to secure the match win. A bonus point went to the home side as Nigel Bransby defeated Gavin Offord in the last.
The above report courtesy of Fixtures Secretary Roy Wells, who also advises a points adjustment from the USC v Plough LB match of week 2: Following a Committee ruling, the match result is now 4-1 rather than 3-2, and the Plough have been deducted a further point for the playing of unregistered players.
