Week 7 - 27/10/2010
Mill House Z v St Francis After being left in bar overnight the table will be playing absolutely beautifully, straight as a dye and the break like shelling peas. Ultra easy, and all games should go with break, so 3-2 to St Francis. Plough Lower Beeding v Eight Bells Mark Webber to grab one for the Plough, but that's about it. Easy to tip the Bells now for a 4-1 win. Greyhound v Plough Plumpton The fallen idols to come good tonight with a 3-2 win (Paul Goodwin and both Burchells) Watermill A v Laughing Fish The Fish can't buy a win at home at the moment, so I can't offer much hope for them at t'Mill. 4-1 to the homesters, with 5ks for Kim, Norm and John S. H to suffer a rare defeat. Brewers Arms v Hurst A This is a second home for many of the Hurst players, so I'll predict they'll win 4-1 with three Hall victories. An in-form Jockster to take his leg. Hurst B v Horns Lodge Hurst B are too good to be languishing in the bottom half of the lower division. A 4-1 will lift them up. King Lear, King Steve and the Giff all to triumph. United Services Club v Brewers Bravos This one has 3-2 written all over it. Or it would have had, but now we hear that neither Sparky nor Gasson are available. Suicide. 4-1 to the Bravos. [edited in view of Sparky's comment] Woolpack v Watermill B A rare win for the Woolpack with two lady winners.

Goodness me..... such enthusiasm! :o 8-) I should imagine that there's more to administering this than there is to the League's fixtures and results service! The words 'own back' and 'rod for' come to mind. ;D

Mill House Vs. Saints Have to go with a 3-2 home win here, Tommo to regain form, Matts unbroken streak to continue. Plough Vs. Eight bells Still think the away team will take this 3-2 but one of the bells big hitters to stumble perhaps. Greyhound Vs. Plough There will be some good games in this one but, when all is said and done, the hounds to emerge 4-1 winners with two 5k hits from the home side. Watermill A Vs. Laughing Fish The home side to take this one 4-1. 3 5k+ scores on the night. Brewers Arms Vs Hurst A The table is now playing wonderfully well and on a long timer so we will see some very good scores tonight, especially from bobhall and Jock. Brewers to take one against the break for a 3-2 win. Hurst B Vs. Horns lodge A full strength Horns Lodge could take this one but i have faith in my Tuesday teamates to take this one to a 3-2 win USC Vs Bravos Matchups vital in this one and have to agree that it will be 3-2. Who to? Put me on the rack for an hour and i would probably scream "Home side". Woolpack Vs. Watermill B Will back the away side to take a 3-2 victory, the Bees reporter Mr. Ridley to gain the vital victory
thats my lot for another week. Pip pip.

Ok, here are my thoughts...... :-/
Mill House Z v St Francis The Zeds are really hitting form now and will be very hard to beat.... a 3-2 home win with SuperG hitting big again. TSO to top score for the visitors, but a first defeat for Matt.
Plough Lower Beeding v Eight Bells I don't think that the Bells team will like the table much, but they will still be too strong for the new look Plough team so a 3-2 away win. Doug to top score with a battling 5k.
Greyhound v Plough Plumpton Strong rumours going around that the home team will be missing a couple of their regulars this week, so a 3-2 away win with wins for Neil & Peter Burchell for the Greyhound, Chase, Ron & Dave Knight winning for the visitors.
Watermill A v Laughing Fish A 3-2 home win for the A Team, Norm and Kim hitting big with H top scoring with 7k for the Fish.
Brewers Arms v Hurst A A 3-2 home win for the Brewers, Jock hitting big while Bobhall suffers a rare defeat.
Hurst B v Horns Lodge I think that the Lodge players will like the Hurst top, so a 3-2 away win with Geoff Winson top scoring for the visitors while King Steve hits 10k for the home side.
United Services Club v Brewers Bravos 3-2 to the visitors, Adam hitting highest score with Spud & PM-R the other winning visitors. The new "Guy" to suffer his first defeat.
Woolpack v Watermill B The Bees pick up their second win of the year with a low-scoring 3-2 win, only ex PLB hits more than 4k for either team. ::)

Tommo first then.... Week 7 - 27/10/2010 Mill House Z 5 St Francis 0After being left in bar overnight the table will be playing absolutely beautifully, straight as a dye and the break like shelling peas. Ultra easy, and all games should go with break, so 3-2 to St Francis. No points here by the look of things.Plough Lower Beeding 2 Eight Bells 3Mark Webber to grab one for the Plough, but that's about it. Easy to tip the Bells now for a 4-1 win. 0.5 for the away win.... plus a bonus point for Mark winning with the only 5k score of the night. Greyhound 3 Plough Plumpton 2The fallen idols to come good tonight with a 3-2 win Paul Goodwin and both Burchells1 point for the correct result......with 2 bonus points for the wins by Paul Goodwin and Peter BWatermill A 1 Laughing Fish 4The Fish can't buy a win at home at the moment, so I can't offer much hope for them at t'Mill. 4-1 to the homesters, with 5ks for Kim, Norm and John S. H to suffer a rare defeat.Obviously the Fish were inspired by your prediction, so no points for the result but 7k from Kim gives you 1 Bonus pointBrewers Arms 3 Hurst A 2This is a second home for many of the Hurst players, so I'll predict they'll win 4-1 with three Hall victories. An in-form Jockster to take his leg.No points for the result, 2 out of 3 Hall's has to be worth a couple of bonus point with Jockster adding another giving 3 points in 'all! ;D Hurst B 4 Horns Lodge 1Hurst B are too good to be languishing in the bottom half of the lower division. A 4-1 will lift them up. King Lear, King Steve and the Giff all to triumph. 1 point for the correct score..... King Lear lost but the other King and Giff both won for 2 bonus points. 8-)United Services Club 0 Brewers Bravos 5This one has 3-2 written all over it. Or it would have had, but now we hear that neither Sparky nor Gasson are available. Suicide. 4-1 to the Bravos. [edited in view of Sparky's comment]Hmm, 1 stage worse than suicide apparently..... 0.5 for the away win.Woolpack 4 Watermill B 1A rare win for the Woolpack with two lady winners.A well earned point for the Woolie win......Anne's first win of the season gives you a bonus point as wellPoints this week.... 14.0

Now Spesh..... ;) OK me 1st this week Z's 3 Saints 2 Home advantage tells in this one, twin and Mat to star Home advantage certainly did tell, 5-0 to the Zeds. 0.5 for the home win, Twin top scored (with only 4610 though) for a bonus point but Matt lost. PLB 3 8 Bells 2 Bottom beats top, shocker, landlord to star for PLB. The Bells prove another Tipster wrong with a 3-2 away win, a bonus point in case shocker was to describe the table.... but the PLB landlord mastered it with 5k to earn another bonus point. ::) Hound 3 PPG 2 HB Geoff Fairs finds his form 1 point for correct result...... couldn't find Geoff (or his form) so no bonuses.Watermill A 4 Fish 1 Big Norm and H the ones to watch Another tipster bites the dust, with the Fish getting the 4-1 win..... but 1 bonus point for 'H' Watch. ;) BA 3 HA 2 DT, SWEATY SOCK, AND BOB GO LARGE Correct result for 1 point, DT and Bobhall both hit around 5k so worth 2 more bonus points...... not sure I want to know who "Sweaty Sock" is (or how you know about it! :o) so will add another bonus point anyway! 8-) 4 points in total.HB 4 Horny lodge 1 4-1 it was, correct for a point. ;)the other club 3 Bravos 2 Sparky and bearded carp man are my brave shouts here. Carp man to go 10k+ A shock 5-0 win for the Bravos mean no point for the result, Sparky was AWOL but 1 point for Bravo who top scored with just under 6k.Woolie 2 Watermill b 3 stick with ex plb and flying dutchman A 4-1 win for the Woolies mean no points for the result.....but 2 bonus points with ex PLB and Flying Dutchman both winning. ;)Points this week..... 13.5

Let's see how Spudgun got on this week.... Mill House 5 Saints 0Have to go with a 3-2 home win here, Tommo to regain form, Matts unbroken streak to continue. 0.5 for the home win, plus a bonus for Tommo who ended Matt's winning streakPlough 2. Eight bells 3 Still think the away team will take this 3-2 but one of the bells big hitters to stumble perhaps. Correct to tip the Bells for 1 point..... the big hitters struggled but managed to win though. Greyhound 3 Plough 2There will be some good games in this one but, when all is said and done, the hounds to emerge 4-1 winners with two 5k hits from the home side. 0.5 for the home win, but only a couple of 3k's from the home team so no bonuses. Watermill A 1 Laughing Fish 4The home side to take this one 4-1. 3 5k+ scores on the night. Another tipster caught out the wrong way..... but I think that H and Kim both hit 5k plus so worth 1 bonus point.Brewers Arms 3 Hurst A 2The table is now playing wonderfully well and on a long timer so we will see some very good scores tonight, especially from bobhall and Jock. Brewers to take one against the break for a 3-2 win. Correct result for 1 point, Bobhall & Jock both won with decent scores for 2 bonus points. ;) Hurst B 4 Horns lodge 1A full strength Horns Lodge could take this one but i have faith in my Tuesday teamates to take this one to a 3-2 win A bit more faith could have gained you the full point.....0.5 for the Home win. :D USC 0 Bravos 5Matchups vital in this one and have to agree that it will be 3-2. Who to? Put me on the rack for an hour and i would probably scream "Home side". It looks like you will need to go on the rack for a bit longer..... ;D Woolpack 4 Watermill B 1Will back the away side to take a 3-2 victory, the Bees reporter Mr. Ridley to gain the vital victory The Woolies win means no points for the result...... and Mr Ridley was on the wrong end of the best score of the night.thats my lot for another week. Pip pip. Points this week..... 7.5

Now me..... :-/ Ok, here are my thoughts...... :-/ Mill House Z 5 St Francis 0The Zeds are really hitting form now and will be very hard to beat.... a 3-2 home win with SuperG hitting big again. TSO to top score for the visitors, but a first defeat for Matt. 0.5 for the home win, 1 bonus for Matt's first loss and with bonus points for SuperG and TSO who top scored for their teams a total of 3.5 here. 8-) Plough Lower Beeding 2 Eight Bells 3 I don't think that the Bells team will like the table much, but they will still be too strong for the new look Plough team so a 3-2 away win. Doug to top score with a battling 5k. 1 point for the correct result.... and a bonus point with Doug top scoring (with 3460) on a table that he described as "probably the most difficult" he had played on for some time.::)Greyhound 3 Plough Plumpton 2Strong rumours going around that the home team will be missing a couple of their regulars this week, so a 3-2 away win with wins for Neil & Peter Burchell for the Greyhound, Chase, Ron & Dave Knight winning for the visitors. The reserves came in, but a home win means no points for the result..... Peter B and Dave K earned me a couple of bonus points though.Watermill A 1 Laughing Fish 4A 3-2 home win for the A Team, Norm and Kim hitting big with H top scoring with 7k for the Fish. Yep, I got caught out as well by the result.....Norm lost but Kim hit 7k and H top scored with 5.5k so 1.5 bonus pointsBrewers Arms 3 Hurst A 2A 3-2 home win for the Brewers, Jock hitting big while Bobhall suffers a rare defeat. 1 point for the correct result and Jock's win in the decider gains a bonus point..... let down though by Bobhall who WON AGAIN! ;D Hurst B 4 Horns Lodge 1I think that the Lodge players will like the Hurst top, so a 3-2 away win with Geoff Winson top scoring for the visitors while King Steve hits 10k for the home side. No points for the result..... Geoff lost with a low score but King Steve won and top scored with 6.2k for 0.5 bonusUnited Services Club 0 Brewers Bravos 53-2 to the visitors, Adam hitting highest score with Spud & PM-R the other winning visitors. The new "Guy" to suffer his first defeat. 0.5 for the away win, 3 bonus points for Adam, Spud & PM-R and 1 more with the new "Guy" losing to LM-R giving me 4.5 points here. 8-) Woolpack 4 Watermill B 1The Bees pick up their second win of the year with a low-scoring 3-2 win, only ex PLB hits more than 4k for either team. ::) No points for the Woolies win.... ex PLB top scoring in the match (but no mention of how many) so that must be worth a bonus point!Points this week..... 17.0
