Just to add a bit of spice to the Tipsters, let's see if we can predict how everybody will finish up at the end of the season..... 8-)
So, aim to predict where each team will finish up in their respective divisions...... and the Top 10 in the Player of the Year Competition for each Division as well.
A correct placing will give you 3 points for each prediction, one position out will give you 2 points, 2 positions out will give you 1 point.
Predictions made before Week 10 will earn TRIPLE POINTS....... before Week 20 will get DOUBLE POINTS..... all predictions have to be made BEFORE Week 25 of the League Season OR THEY WILL NOT COUNT. ;)
Bonus points will be given for "friendly banter".... ;D however points will be deducted for any obvious abuse or direct flaming as that is not the intention of this thread. ;)
Please enjoy yourselves, have fun and good luck..... ;D

Here are my predictions then............
Premier Division
Winners - Mill House Z Strength in depth is the key to their success and I think they will walk away with the title this season. They may lose a couple of games, but unlikely to be many more than that and will beat the weaker teams more heavily than their rivals. Worthy champions elect..... yet again. ;)
Runners-Up - Plough Plumpton Last years Division 1 champions have been on a good run and will be stronger towards the end of the season, which will help them to just pip their nearest rivals. ;D
3rd - Watermill A Another solid team who will always win more than they lose, but they will have to battle for the runner-up spot and I can see it going to the last match of the season to be decided.
4th - Eight Bells A great start to the season for them, but they rely on the big guns to fire every week. With one of them likely to miss several games through work commitments, they will need kind draws to maintain their challenge, but they will definitely be in the hunt for Runners-Up position with Plough Plumpton and the A Team.
5th - Greyhound They have had a poor start to the season by their standards, but will find their form in the second half and climb up to a safe position in mid-table.
6th - Laughing Fish H's continued presence will help the Fish and they will end up comfortably clear of the Saints.
7th - St Francis TSO will always battle, but a bad run has put them in trouble.
8th - Plough Lower Beeding Losing a couple of players at the start of the season has weakened them considerably, the wooden spoon awaits them.
Premier POY 1. Henry Brooks 2. Graham Daniels 3. Doug Mahy 4. Clive Thompson 5. Barry Timson 6. Trevor Rees 7. Alan Downs 8. Shaun Morris 9. Mick Holmwood 10. Nick Brown
Division 1
Winners - Brewers Arms Probably one of the strongest teams in the whole League now, I think that they will end the season at least 10 points clear at the top.
Runners-Up - Hurst A A mixed bag of results for the new look team so far, but I think they will just about get there at the end of the season.
3rd - Hurst B Will be close on the heels of their Hurst stablemates, just missing out on runners-up in the end.
4th - Brewers Bravos Will be in contention for runners-up for most of the year, but perhaps don't have quite the strength in depth of their nearest rivals.
5th - United Services Club Will be battling with the Lodge for 5th place, but should stay well clear of the teams below.
6th - Horns Lodge Will be safely in mid-table, but likely to be a fair distance behind the Bravos in the end.
7th - Watermill B Definitely improving each year and closing the gap on the teams above.
8th - Woolpack A big improvement on previous years and will be close behind the Mill B Team. :'(
Division 1 POY 1. Adam Bateup 2. Richard Jeffrey 3. Steve King 4. Derek Taylor 5. Malcolm Fuller 6. Dilly Williamson 7. Graham Sparksman 8. Richard Spurrier 9. Rob Hall 10. Peter Edwards
Good luck to everybody playing this season. ;)

Nice to see you taking such an interest in our li'l ole league, Dave, despite not playing. ;) Happy to keep the interest going as long as people are enjoying this and taking part..... still hoping to make a few guest appearances during the course of the season..... when other commitments allow of course...... if needed, so could try to ruin a few tipsters choices if I can! ;D

I'll just have a go at the teams for the moment, don't want to put a jinx on any individuals!
PREMIER DIV. Pos Team 1 Mill House Z 2 Watermill A 3 Plough P/G 4 Eight Bells 5 Greyhound 6 Laughing Fish 7 St Francis 8 Plough L/B
As BBW says, the unavailability of Nick B and H in the second half will be a blow to the prospects of Eight Bells and L/Fish respectively. Will go for bonuses by predicting two away defeats for the Zeds - at St Francis and at the Watermill.
DIV.ONE. Pos Team 1 Brewers Arms 2 Hurst A 3 Hurst B 4 Brewers Bravos 5 United Services 6 Horns Lodge 7 Watermill B 8 Woolpack
Bravos have set a cracking pace so far and would be popular winners, but won't pick up so many bonus points in the second half, whereas the Arms and two Hurst teams will take some good scalps. Increasingly good scores will be obtained on the USC table, and the Hurst B will run their A team very close for the runners-up spot - maybe as little as 1 point deciding the issue.

Only me I have done some marking, just the league positions, no bonuses. BBW 10 points, only one to get PPG going second, which helped him get the 1st four in the prem.
Tommo 8 points
TSO 7 points
Bobhall 4 points, very poor effort. Shaun of the sick

BB Warrior - 178 points Tommo - 120 points SpecialOne - 108 points + 5 bonus = 113 points Bobhall - 99 points + 2 bonus = 101 points I seem to remember that somebody (Bobhall ???) did say that they would take over the marking of the weekly Tipsters, however it would seem that Tommo was main person to keep it running and possibly the only entrant most weeks...... so Tommo is probably the overall winner. ;D ;D ;D That's all from me folks..... ;)
