Less than a week to go and we'll be starting again................. Mill House Z v Watermill A Watermill won't want a repeat of last year, they'll be gunning for us this time so 3-2 either way. Plough Lower Beeding v Greyhound Plough's new young side have a better chance at home than away, and Greyhound have not set the world alight so far, which should level things slightly. 3-2 to the Hound. St Francis v Horns Lodge The Saints were turned over by Hurst B but will bounce back well: 4-1 including 6k from TSO. Watermill B v Eight Bells I'm backing the Bells to also have some bouncebackability, with a 4-1 win. Brewers Bravos v Plough Plumpton I can see an away win here, especially as this is the table that the Plumptons nearly beat the Zeds on in the Cup. The best scores will be from the home side, though, Adam and Spud. Hurst B v Laughing Fish A five-figure score from H as usual, but the home side to edge the result. United Services Club v Hurst A Hurst will like the table, lovingly prepared by Sparky, and will take the match 4-1 with four big scores. The wily Sparky will draw himself the break though and deal out a thrashing in that leg. Woolpack v Brewers Arms Has a 4-1 to Arms with Malc sole winner written all over it. Sorry girls.

Another year and here go the Tipsters again..... 8-)
Mill House Z v Watermill A The Zeds will keep up their incredible run in the League with a 4-1 victory at Fortress Mill House, Tommo, Barry, Mr Mike and SuperG with Big Norm the only A Team winner.
Plough Lower Beeding v Greyhound If the draw is kind to the home team then they will have a chance, but the Dogs will be the favorites to carry off the points with wins for TiR, Peter B and Paul. Geoff and Mark W to reply for the home side. St Francis v Horns Lodge The Saints will bounce back from their Christmas defeat with a 4-1 home win, TSO, Matt, Manly and Peter G with Geoff the winning visitor.
Watermill B v Eight Bells The Bells will certainly be looking to win this one and wins for Doug, Nick, Ros and Denise will ease them to a 4-1 victory, Gavin the only home winner.
Brewers Bravos v Plough Plumpton There could be some close games but the visitors should take this 4-1, wins for Darren, Dave K, Jan and the Warrior with either Spud or Adam replying.
Hurst B v Laughing Fish A close 3-2 win for the home side, King Steve, IanG and Darrell the winners with H and Chris replying for the visitors. H to top score, but will lose a big break on the way.... :-/
United Services Club v Hurst A This could be a chance for the USC table to finally move out of the bottom 2 in the Tables Table..... although heaven (or at least our Forum master Tommo!) only knows why it is down there anyway? A 3-2 away win for the Hurst Club with BabyG, Papa and Pete E the winners, Bobhall to lose to either Sparky or Terry G. Woolpack v Brewers Arms Hard to see beyond a 4-1 away win, with Sir Jock, the Farmer, Derek and Dilly all taking the points home, Malc the only home winner again.

Okay, time to do some marking..... Tommo first. ;) Less than a week to go and we'll be starting again................. Mill House Z 5 Watermill A 0Watermill won't want a repeat of last year, they'll be gunning for us this time so 3-2 either way.Your usual modesty means your usual 0.5 points. ;DPlough Lower Beeding 2 Greyhound 3Plough's new young side have a better chance at home than away, and Greyhound have not set the world alight so far, which should level things slightly. 3-2 to the Hound. Absolutely correct for 1 point. St Francis 5 Horns Lodge 0The Saints were turned over by Hurst B but will bounce back well: 4-1 including 6k from TSO. 0.5 for the result, but a good bonus point for the 6k winning score for TSO. ;D Watermill B 2 Eight Bells 3I'm backing the Bells to also have some bouncebackability, with a 4-1 win. They didn't bounce back quite as well as you hoped, but still 0.5 for the away win. Brewers Bravos 1 Plough Plumpton 4I can see an away win here, especially as this is the table that the Plumptons nearly beat the Zeds on in the Cup. The best scores will be from the home side, though, Adam and Spud. An away win it was, a bonus point for Adam winning with a nice score of 10850..... although it wasn't the best of the night. ;D ;D Hurst B 2 Laughing Fish 3A five-figure score from H as usual, but the home side to edge the result. The away team edged the result, but 2 bonus points as H won..... and scored 10k. ;DUnited Services Club 3 Hurst A 2Hurst will like the table, lovingly prepared by Sparky, and will take the match 4-1 with four big scores. The wily Sparky will draw himself the break though and deal out a thrashing in that leg. From Bobhall's report, I think that the Hurst team didn't like the table..... :'( ...... no points for the result but a solitary bonus for Sparky's win. ;) Woolpack 1 Brewers Arms 4Has a 4-1 to Arms with Malc sole winner written all over it. Sorry girls. Correct result for 1 point, plus a bonus for Malc.Points so far......10.5 plus 1.0 special bonus = 11.5

All bookmakers have a rule that does not allow 'related' or 'continguency' doubles. For example 0-0 doubled with no goal scorer, is not allowed, Messi to score first doubled with Messi to score at any time, would also not be allowed. When tipping a 5-0, you have already predicted that all the home players will win. Is it right that you can go on to earn 5 bonus points by listing the home team squad as potential winners? I don't think so!
I propose the shameless one is relieved of these points and punished. Possibly bonus points could be awarded next week for the best punishment suggestion.
If he does that girlie 'give me the points or I quit Bar Billiards' thing, I would be happy to partner H in the doubles.
Hound to lose 4-1, but TIR to do the barking for the Hound, now that kind of Special prediction is worthy of points. TSO

Hound to lose 4-1, but TIR to do the barking for the Hound, now that kind of Special prediction is worthy of points. TSO All that makes perfect sense to me: by predicting a team to win 5-0 and then listing all the usual squad (with possible substitutions also listed) currently gains a bonus point for every player that wins for that team, plus 0.5 bonus if the team wins by any other scoreline. Perhaps the nomination of players should be restricted to a maximum of 3 per team? you didn't say how big, so I think Dave should award himself a bonus point instead. And take a point off for that show of sycophancy. ;D ;D ;D Tommo can have a special bonus for using big posh words...... ;D When I first read this, I thought tommo was exhibiting a certain degree of optimism and wondered if he would soon be expecting punctuation? :o

I propose the shameless one is relieved of these points and punished. Possibly bonus points could be awarded next week for the best punishment suggestion. If he does that girlie 'give me the points or I quit Bar Billiards' thing, I would be happy to partner H in the doubles. Well, I would propose either a public flogging (obviously to be carried out by those ladies in school uniform that Bobhall seems to prefer spending time with rather than playing Bar Billiards! :o) or "Death by Monkeys"..... which you will only understand if you have seen "Toy Story 3"! ;D However, and all joking aside, both SpecialOne and Ros........ All that makes perfect sense to me: by predicting a team to win 5-0 and then listing all the usual squad (with possible substitutions also listed) currently gains a bonus point for every player that wins for that team, plus 0.5 bonus if the team wins by any other scoreline. Perhaps the nomination of players should be restricted to a maximum of 3 per team?.....make very valid points about multiple tipping when all you are actually doing is just listing (almost) every player that is registered for a team. ::) I would therefore propose that.... with effect from next week (Week 14), that we adopt the following "rules"..... 1) 2 Points will be awarded for a correct result and match scoreline, 1 point to be awarded for predicting either a home or away win where the scoreline is either not given or incorrect. 2) A maximum of 3 players from each team can be "predicted" to either win or lose and will gain 1 point for each correct prediction. If more than 3 players are listed, only the first 3 names will be able to gain points and 1 point will be taken off for every additional name given. (Note, should players try to make a "multiple choice" (ie "Hall" or "Edwards" or "Gavin") and more than 1 player with that name normally play for the team in question, these will not be accepted and points will be deducted). If anybody has any alternative suggestions, please let us know and we will go forward with the most popular choice.... ;)

there you go dave
woolpack v brewers The Brewers Arms share the top of division 1 following their away win at the Woolpack. Woollies started well with Malc Fuller taking the opener from Trevor Greenyer. It was then one way traffic as The Arms took control. Richard Jeffrey levelled things with a win over Nigel Bransby and Dilly moved the score along when beating Lyn Storr. The Farmer had a close encounter with Jan Hinkins but pulled through to take the match, and the last point went to Derek Taylor who defeated Anne Stockinger.
