Thank you Tommo for pointing out my error. However as a some one who suffers from dyslexia, I have reported you to the dissabilities commission and expect BBW to take severe and punative action against you. Hope you loose a lot of points! Shaun Whilst at work I was classed as a 'loose cannon'. At present I have a loose tooth (visit planned to the dentists next Saturday). I'm a bit short of loose change at the moment. The chair I am sitting on posting this has a loose leg. And I like loose women. ;D ;D ........as did Toulouse Lautrec!

i dont understand why people worry from the start people tip me to lose but it makes me more determined i feel people who tip people to lose are doing it for fun i tipped darrell and steve king to lose they won. so they were determined to win on the night. at the end of the day this is a game not a job, and i think certain people are forgetting that if they are getting angry at this. getting tipped to lose and being subjected on the proboards doesnt really matter i was subjected to it by the whole of my opponents and home team when i played on tuesday but you just get on with it. My post did was not written in anger there were several people who were tipped to lose apart from myself, I am aware that on bobhalls part is was probably more to wind me up as it was Hurst a V Hurst B in the same way that I asked to roll some balls up the table as the away captain. I dont want my point to be lost here & do feel that this has only started since there was a limit on how many players you could say would win, I maintain that it is IMHO bad form to say someone as an indvidual will Lose. That fact that I was tipped to lose by 2 people to lose & I did has nothing to do with my reason for posting, I played a crap shot & let Rob back on the table. The Tipsters is fun & banter is fine but I think there are pleanty of other ways to score points without causing offence. as TSO has shown on many occaisions how this is acheived.

One indicator as to the success of a sport is the volume and quality of the writing about it, cricket being the best example of this. The number of views and posts Mid-Sussex Bar Billiards attracts is quite incredible, and as I have said before indicates a vibrant league. However Iang raises a very valid point. I have only tipped RR to lose and I regard him as fair game, as I do myself. It never occurred to me that by tipping winners we could be tipping losers by 'omission'. but Iang is quite right. All I can really say is that team mates, fans, and managers love really active players, but really active players get the most cards. My new target for the rest of the season will be the unsporting slamming down of the ball at the end of the break and the genuinly bad tempered moaning 'loosers'. Will still try and find time for RR. Well expressed, Exprez.
In case RR didn't get that point, if you set yourself up to be shot at, don't be surprised to be sniped at occasionally.
Much better than being ignored completely!
Can you imagine the stick that the Zeds are going to get when we lose our first game? :o

I was hoping to go back on Monday to drive the float only but it may not be possible because I can't get my shoe on without it being very painfull......Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! With all of the results now in, it's time to award the final "extra bonus" points for the week.... Tommo can have a bonus point for his tongue in cheek suggestion of table swapping....... ;D I also had a problems. Think it was the large number of people trying to read about my 6k score at the Saints. TSO I reckon some industrial espionage has taken place here, and at dead of night you've swapped your old table over with Sparky's at 'the other club'. ;D While TSO must deserve a bonus point (or maybe even a Knighthood!) for hitting 6k on the Saints top, even if it wasn't this week..... :o :P ;D

No idea of where 'The Boss'(Springsteen) has come from. Werewolves in London was Warren Zevon. Take the points back from Tommo.

Tipster Points, An objective study of Odds, Probability, and the Correct Rewards, by your local friendly bookmaker. For the purpose of this study I have ignored the fact that some teams are stronger than others, and the dreaded tied leg.
When predicting the result of a Bar Bills match there are 2 possible outcomes. Therefore the odds are evens, and the correct reward is 1 point.
When predicting the correct score of a Bar Bills match there are 6 possible outcomes. Therefore the odds are five to one. The correct reward is 5 points minus the 1 point already awarded for the correct result, please see earlier post on related doubles.
So result correct, score incorrect = 1 point result and correct score correct = 1+4 points = 5 points.
This system still allows the easy point for tipping the 'banker' , but rewards the skill of getting it spot on.
What about my premium for tipping the less likely result I hear you all shout. There is an inbuilt premium in as much as you will be getting points others have not, however a bonus point for tipping 1st div team to beat prem team could be the answer. Anything else will involve making a judgement on the relative strengths of teams . Tommo described Saint victory over 8 Bells as freakish, despite the fact I had predicted it. Also called us Frannies. Big mistake! Really Big Mistake! Subtle Sniper

Unashamed Plagiarism of Zevon. Have taken back my allegation of plagiarism, having looked him up on Wiki. Besides, he's a Z. ;D 8-) A bit too deep and meaningful for me, give me Kylie or Lady Gaga any day. ;D
