MrMike007 3490, Steve Whyte 3700 Alan Downs 4550, Geoff Parsons 1910 Barry T 2650, Mark Webber 3200 tommo 6650, Des Gasson 1450 Super G 4710, Steve 'Spud' 'Ball-banger' Budd BP

Two excellent fighting games from the Plough to go 2-1 up, before the Zeds rallied to make that coveted unbeaten record for the first half of the season.

Eight Bells 4 - Horns Lodge 1
Ros 2000 - Kevin Stevens*1820 After being stuck for an hour in a jam between Crawley and Handcross (when I was on my way to prep the table) the last thing I wanted was to be drawn first! It took me until 14 minutes to get my bar billiards head on, catching up on a late break and finally winning on the last ball.
Trevor* 2790 - Tom Massey 760 Trevor played a good steady game to take this one comfortably.
Denise 370 - Geoff Winson 3170 Geoff started off well, Denise was chasing him down when an unfortunate black peg scuppered her chances.
Doug* 15,740 - Dave Tiffin 210 Doug complained afterwards that he'd only had two goes at the table. ::) Needless to say, with breaks of 8400 and 7340, his complaints were not taken too seriously by his team mates. ;) We were all impressed by his use of the 50 pocket to pot the red in the 200 though! :o
Nick 2980 - Roger Dudman* 540 A slow start for both players. Nick took time to settle, just getting comfortable on the break as the bar went.
A pleasant evening with the Horns Lodge team. Thanks to the Bells for the great Tarragon Chicken with rice. :)
Note to tipsters for next week's Plate - Nick is definitely not playing (lowest score last week!)
The mystery of the shock 'defeat' of the Greyhound is solved! I hope he got the other results the right way round. ???

The missing match report, courtesy of the OldFella, as Lazybones couldn't be bothered: ;) ;D
Watermill B 0.5, Laughing Fish 4.5 Laughing Fish went to The Bees and very nearly grabbed all the points. Les Whiteman took an easy first leg from Paul Blackburn and Andy Brooks took frame 2 from Mark Ridley. Aitch hit 6K past Gavin Offord to win the match for the Fish before The Flying Dutchman toughed it out with Jim Ashford to claim a half point and avoid the brush which certainly would have been applied as Ray Carpenter trounced Gavin Boyd in the last.
