Swan A 4 Atlas B 1
John Hayward 5,030 - 1,640* Alan Messer Alan had several goes at the break but never settled, John played a steady game to win. 1-0
Chris Scott 5,340* - 2,580 Charlie Cooper A steady game from Chris as well to always keep in front. 2-0
Vern Blake 8,250 - 460* Gina Sherratt Gina lost her opening break and gave Vern the break back, he took full advantage to play a good game and secure the match. 3-0
Dave France 11,730* - 5,840 Dave Ingram Dave opened with a lovely 11k+ to give me no chance, well played. 8-) 4-0
Ron Brewer 2,670 - 10,050* Micky Pope Several useful breaks from Micky which always kept him in control. 4-1
Well played the Swan, who thoroughly deserved their win tonight. ;)

Duke of Wellington 2 - 3 Swan B
Mal Spier 2160 - 9860 Roger Taylor
Roger was off early, but Mal couldn't get going, and Roger made a 9k break on his next visit.
Nigel Senior 12090 - 2660 Matt Squire
Slow starting, Nigel off early, Matt making 2kish, but Nige getting them back and knocking in a solid 11k to make sure.
John Perrin 2720 - 10230 Doug Mahy
Doug opened with about 6k and added a couple more breaks to be sure (i think - correct me if I'm remembering it wrong Doug)
H 8780 - 8700 Brian Richards
This had my heart going. I set off, at what I thought was quite a gentle pace for me, knocking up an opening break of 8.3k, leaving a split short, but touching up thinking I'd used up enough time and was safe. I was later told that I was on for only 7 minutes!! Brian had a go, but couldn't get them back, I then mopped up every ball bar the all important last one, leaving Brian to get the break back and start chasing. He was close as the bar went, and just needed the playout to take the game - so logically, with the last three white balls he played 1up - split, only to leave one ball short on the split. 20 in front, he then missed the 100 pocket, and I gratefully potted the final ball to take one of the closest games I have ever played!
Chris Tupper 2120 - 7400 Barry Holt
Barry broke off with 6.5k, Tupps getting them back a couple of times, and unlucky to peg a 4k break near the end.
Very close match again with the Swan, some great games, but it seems we are determined to keep up our losing streak at home!

Old House at Home 4 - 1 Gardeners A
Barney 5370 Rick * 3620 Nick * 8730 Bill 1260 Tony 1030 TJ * 3620 Niel * 3640 Terry 2560 Gary 6550 Adam * 1990
Good win for the Old House who played the table far better than us, we all struggled to get the break consistently, and caught out by the rolls at top of table.

Apologies to Hayley for the disruption durring our game from the gentlemen playing the punching bag machine which has cleverly been placed in such a position where players jump 20 ft in the air when it's hit due to not knowing the loud bang is coming... Anyway, glad I entertained everyone with my 'trickshots' :)
