Laughing Fish 3 - 2 Plough LB
Andy Brooks 2990 - 2410 Keiron Budd Keith Fantom 1810 - 3450 Steve Whyte Jim Ashford 2620 - 1720 Steve Visor H 17,880 - 410 Geoff Parsons Les Whiteman 2690 - 3220 Mark Webber
We had to call in our reserve, Keith, 30 mins before the match since Captain Ray ended up at Eastbourne hospital with his daughter who had shut her finger in a car door! Nonetheless, a good night with the Plough, and the temporary (although I'm now starting to think it might be rather more permanent) top played the best it has so far!

Plough P/G 2, Mill House Z 3
Jan Bithell 2750, Super G 5490 Ron Sheridan 4260, tommo 3210 Chase Newman 2200, Mr Mike 2750 Dave Ingram 6090, Alan Downs 810 Darren Newnham 440, Barry Timson 5480
Table awkward tonight, balls finding their way into seemingly irretrievable positions for all players. Any of the first three games could have gone either way, and even Alan had some chances but pegged a couple of useful breaks. Barry played a chanceless decider to bag the win.
Tasty sausage and pasta stew to finish the evening off.

Love the 1st 2 results, me bang on on the tipsters, 3-2, 2-3, all with break., and guess what, SaINTS 3 otherclub 2, as tipped by me.
Mat 4720 Mick Kirwan 820 Stella season from Mat
Tso 4260 Ron Wales 670 TSO continued last 2 weeks form, lost 1st break and all early scores, got the hang of it late on. Nightmare over?, who knows.
Bob Ellis 1180 Sparky 3880 Bob unlucky wit h early lost break. Sparky's superior table knowledge told in the end.
Manly 600 Terry the gas 4000 Manly started with 2k+, the gas came back with 3k+. Looked like a cracker, but sadly not Black peg for manley, well played the gas.
Peter Geal 2570 Andy Guy 1790 Utmost respect to a patriot.
Nighty night, time for bedders, golf in the morning. Terminate witgh extreme prejudice,.

specialone is on a roll tonight, unlike Chelsea!
Eight Bells 4 - Woolies 1
Ros 1690 - Nigel* 870 Tony D* 1210 - Anne 1490 Rob D 3470 - Lyn* 1540 Doug* 5830 - Jan 750 Trevor 1870 - Malcolm* 1660
Nice evening with the Woolies. Denise sadly suffering from a bad back, although she was there and supporting us all the way. Nick away on business, so we called in Rob D to cover and he did us proud.
Thanks to the Bells for a nice Thai green curry 8-)
Tommo - shouldn't we be above the Greyhound as we have won more matches?

HORNS LODGE:0 BREWERS BRAVOS:5
N.Pitcher:B/P Bravo:4680 After a slow start Bravo knocked in a 2k5 break to take this one. Nick fell on his sword and began a theme.
D.Tiffen:B/P Lynne:1640 A good win for Lynne. Dave was left with slightly too much to do after the bar went. Fell on his sword...
T.Massey:B/P Paul:2240 Tom started well but had no luck at the back. A small 1k break from Paul took this one. More Hari Kiri antics from Tom at the end.
R.Dudman:590 Nikki:630 Surreal. After a frame of more pegs than pots Roger was left 150 ahead on the last ball but, to the astonishment of all, went for the 200 shot anyway! He failed to ritually disenbowel himself twice and Nikki took advantage to sink it down the 200 to take the frame. Nerves of steel this girl.
K.Stevens:430 Spud:2410 A mid game black peg scuppered Kevs chances. The last two balls went down to stop any suicide antics.
A damn good evening with the Horns Lodge, with great food and good company. I even learnt how Toads works as well. Might chance my arm at that one day...
Cheers all

Tommo - shouldn't we be above the Greyhound as we have won more matches? Correct, my little programme wasn't sophisticated enough to handle that nuance. Will hand adjust!

all i got from jock was they won 5-0 jock hit 13850 and trevor was lowest scorer with 6110 from the home team sounds like the table is playing great now Fuller report from Roy: The Brewers Arms had a tremendous home win over The A Team this week, keeping them in pole position in the lower division. A 13K+ from Richard Jeffrey in the first left Chris Nikolaj without a prayer, this followed by 8K from the Farmer, hit past Big Norn to make it 2 nil. Frame 3 saw a 6K from Trevor Greenyer leave Kim Stenning a mile behind and the match was won, but not finished. Geoff Rose felt the might of a 7K score from Dilly and a high 6K from Derek Taylor over John Staplehurst completed the rout.

............and with The Giff away, here's what the Old Fella had to say about this one:
Watermill B 3, Hurst B 2 A good home win for the Bees over Hurst B saw them get off the bottom of division 1. Hurst’s Steve King started well with a comfortable win over Gavin Boyd but Mark Ridley pulled one back with a very close win over John Lear. The Flying Dutchman beat Colleen Park to put the Bees into the lead but a Dazza victory over Paul Blackburn called for a decider. The Pub Landlord used his cue with very good effect and disposed of Chris Kirkham to claim the match for the hosts.
